Re: Kali Meehan comeback

I think they're trying to do an 8 man tournament ala Prizefighter.

Only story I've seen on it is here;
http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-spor ... for-Sky-TV

Heard a rumour (and it's probably nothing more than that) that they're trying to get Tua involved.

Re: Joseph Parker versus Frans Botha

In all honesty I'd be happy to part with $40 if this were a charity event like fight for life or similar. But this is just ridiculous and I hope they don't make a cent off it. Every fight seems to have a celebrities son / brother / uncle or whatever on it. As Ive said before Ill support anyone who w...

Bang on mate. Let the dwarfs and DJs fight on the Fight for Life card which is all sideshow anyway.

Re: Joseph Parker versus Frans Botha

Oh I've got no issue with them having a crack in the ring. The fact remains that this IS a sideshow though. It's not as if these guys are fighting for some title or have worked their way towards being on a card like this. They're being used as a freak show to sell a few more tickets by Lonergan and ...

Re: Joseph Parker versus Frans Botha

Read the papers this morning. They've added a dwarf fight to the card. No seriously. I'm not kidding. http://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/other-sports/8718072/Dwarfs-to-duke-it-out-to-be-lord-of-the-rings Lonergan claims in this story that this will legitimise dwarf boxing and puts it along side giving women...

Exactly - Hoppa was never going to try and win on points so taking a point away means nothing to him. Would've just been more of the same until the ref got sick of taking points off and stopped it IMO

Re: Cameron v Hopoate

All Shane needs to do is to just jab away while avoiding Hoppa's wild swings for the first couple of rounds as Hoppa runs out of gumption. Then Hoppa will be out of puff, ready for the coup de grace and a career in hot-dog hawking. Funny - a lot of people said the same thing about the Tua fight :lo...

Re: Cameron v Hopoate

Should be an easy night for Cameorn to be honest. I've heard Hoppa is all but retired - already decided this will be his last fight, so the mentality going in has to be one of picking up a paycheck. Pity, I reckon if Hoppa could land a real good right hand in the first couple of rounds he could fini...

question to those who know.......... Tua has to fight 2 more fights on his kiwi TV contract. Do they need to be his next two fights, or just two more? Great fight, IF David comes in that short of shape he was in for Shane he destroys Chris IMHO. It will be fireworks while it lasts. Cant see Arreola hanging with a fit, motivated Tua right now. Although he did show how tough he was against V. Klitschko. Personally i think its a great fight for Dave...

Subject to Australian National Boxing Federation's rule 75 (4) The opponent must sign an ANBF auxiliary contract before he is officially recognized as the champion. "Same would've happened if Tauasa stopped Ammann. Had he outpointed him, the title would've been safe 'cos it was over 8 rounds&q...

Official weights are in - Tua @ 107.8 kg (237.6 pounds) Cameron @ 103.5kg (228.2 pounds)
Tua has been described as "a little squishy" around the middle and Cameron as "ripped from head to toe"
