Re: Barker-Spada Card Tonight
Anyone that thinks Barker didn't win that fight and impress after a year out is totally deluded! He was landing the cleaner shots, and showed his durability and stamina in this fight. Barker will walk all over Macklin, as the irishmans too one-dimensional just like Spada was last night! He was modes...

Macklin's lucky Barker was injured...
I thought Macklin looked very one dimensional last night, and that Barker would of exploited him with his better technical skills. Macklin's opponent last night was clearly lacking fitness, and was just swinging big punches. I really hope the Barker - Macklin fight happens in December!

Re: Andy Lee tonight
You really can't say from that performance how good Lee is at the moment. Thiam just stood back and allowed Lee to throw punches and would then try with a big sluggish right hand that most people on here could avoid! Barker will show Lee how to box, and Lee must be joking if he really thinks the fig...

Re: The great scoring debate - Darren Barker v. Affif Belghecham
Barker wasn't at his best, but he DID win the fight, and if you can't see that he didn't win the fight then you either have a hatred towards Barker or no nothing about boxing. Andy Lee boxed Belghecham over ten rounds and was hurt in the last; Barker boxed Belghecham over twelve rounds and was never...

Re: The great scoring debate - Darren Barker v. Affif Belghecham
Barry, was you at the fight.... or did you even watch the fight for that matter? How can you POSSIBLY say that Barker was in serious trouble!! He wasn't hurt at any point, and even dominated the ninth round, and then was still on top in the last..... some of you on here need to open your eyes a bit ...

If you didn't see that Barker won that you need a f****** eye test.

Re: Is darren barker being shown live on sky?
Yeah, Barker was not at his total best in the second half of the fight, but he got the job done without getting hurt (unlike Lee).... In the first half of the fight Barker was maintaining the centre of the ring and was picking off Belghecham at ease, but yeah he did get a bit complacent and start to...

Re: Is darren barker being shown live on sky?
The difference between the Lee - Belghecham fight and the Barker - Belghecham was that the frenchman was throwing a lot more punches in the Barker fight, but never hurt Barker. When Belghecham came on strong against Lee he had him hurt and Lee was lucky to escape. Yeah Barker wasn't his best tonight...

Fair enough my mistake! Well if you have watched the both (which you probs have) then you should clearly see Barker's the better boxer.

Re: Darren Barker Set To Fight for European Title
Lee beat Mckay on points. Barker stopped him in the sixth. Basing it on boxing ability I don't understand how you could say Lee is superior.... Barker is quicker, more precise and would have Lee out of there inside twelve rounds.

Re: Darren Barker
teddy007 - Seriously? I just can't see Barker losing to Macklin. I think Barker will surprise a lot of people. People said he couldn't punch, and then went on to he stop a boxer that had never even been floored before amateur or pro (Mcdermott). Even though the fight might of been stopped too early,...

Darren Barker
Barker is now looking to go onto big and better things. I'd just like to know who he'd beat out of these boxers: Macklin - I think this would be a good fight, but Barker will come out on top with a late stoppage. Gevor - I haven't been able to watch a great deal of Gevor, but from what I have seen h...

Re: macklin v barker
You lot make me laugh! Barker would give Macklin a boxing lesson Macklin stepped it up to fight Facey, and lost. Macklin stepped it up to fight Moore and lost. Yes, he did smash Elcock, but IMO Barker would do the same and better to Elcock. Macklin is a SMALL Middleweight and wouldn't hurt Barker Ba...

Re: British P4P 2008
I have no doubts about Witters abilities, and the fact he was World class. However, to say the Bradley fight could have gone either way stretches my imagination - and I'm a staunch fan of Witter's. Nothing wrong with the Castro performance, but with respect, who the hell is he ? Yeah I agree that C...

Re: British P4P 2008
Duran, Can you please explain how Witter is in there based on 2008 alone. Two fights, one major loss, and a win against Castro - a fighter we were all struggling to find details of - including the Ingles. He would be right in there in an overall P4P list but can't see how a place is justified for 2...

Re: British P4P 2008
Good to see that this has caused some kind of debate! Well, I intended for it to be just for 2008, seeing as we're coming to the end of '08. Right, I'ver thought about it......... and come up with a new list............... 1) Calzaghe 2) Haye 3) Hatton 4) Froch 5) Cook 6) Witter 7) Napa 8) Munroe 9)...

British P4P 2008
1) Joe Calzaghe - Whether you love him or hate him...... He's proved that he is a true Britsh boxing legend 2) Haye - Took control of the Cruiserweight divison, and has scared the heavyweghts. 3) Hatton - After a bit of a battering against PFP, he came back to prove he's the best at Light Welter 4)C...
