Re: Natasha Jonas vs. Lauren Price | Sky Sports - 7 March 2025
Giving Jonas two of the ten rounds is just as disgraceful in my opinion as any scoring in the past ten years.

Re: Povetkin
It's the Independent Testing Agency acting on behalf of the IBA. In theory, every boxing organization that follows WADA doping rules has to accept this decision. Although I'm not sure all of them will. I can't ask you change the results of these fights but it would be a good idea to add notes to the...

ITA not IBA. And they, at least in theory, have the power to overrule every boxing organization that has signed up to follow their rules when it comes to doping.

Grigory Drozd
Russian press is reporting that Grigori Drozd, who retired in 2017, is suspended for a doping offence after he won the WBC Cruiserweight title in September 2014. Apparently the positive test was covered up by the Russian authorities and only discovered when WADA gained access to the Moscow lab data ...

Re: IOC banishes IBA but boxing still in the Olympics
After yesterday's meeting of the IOC the situation on boxing at the 2028 Olympics has changed. A few months they said that, although no official decision had been made, they basically guaranteed boxing would be held in LA. Now they just say that a decision to keep the sport in the Olympics is "...

Re: How do fighters qualify for US Olympic Trials?
That's what confuses me. Seems to me that the only way the US will need an alternate is if an American qualifies at the Pan-Ams then withdraws (or gets withdrawn by US Boxing) between the Pan-Ams and the final Olympic qualifying tournaments. Remember that the qualifying is tied to the boxer not the ...

Re: How do fighters qualify for US Olympic Trials?
Out of interest, how exactly are the US going to pick their team for the Olympic qualifying tournaments? Are US Boxing just going to pick who they want, is there going to be a single trials and the winner competes in all the qualifiers until they qualify, or will there be trials for each individual ...

Tough call.
Remember Vysotsky was two years younger than Stevenson, had beaten him on more than one occasion and would have been fighting in front of a home Russian crowd.
