Re: What did Fury say??

What an absolute load of garbage this thread/discussion is. Fury gets more grief on here for his ethnicity than is acceptable and personally I didn't find the original comment in the slightest bit racist? My friends and I say much more controversial things to each other on a regular basis (being a m...

I think it's fantastic, just hope enough people subscribe to keep it running with decent shows on. I actually really like the team they have as well.

Re: Floyd Patterson, interesting quote

I personally think D'Amato was the worst possible choice of trainer for Patterson. His reflections and beliefs were very, very outlandish. If you look at two fighters he moulded from a very young age both had very, very big self-belief and confidence issues. (Tyson & Floyd)

I'll go against the grain here and say I think Manny would ruin Mayweather. Throws too many shots for Floyd to cope with.

Re: FINAL PICKS FOR Haye - Valuev

We have all been a little bit guilty of building Valuev into some unbeatable monster, Haye KO 3 in what turns out to be a ridiculously easy nights work. Valuev is shit really, we are all just panicking a bit. Who has Valuev fought that was anywhere near the calibre of Haye? No one unless they were 5...

Re: Gallagher & Pennington talk Crolla V Broadie !

I genuinely hope Brodie wins this fight, I like Crolla and I think Joe G is the best young (well, up and coming, he's hardly 25....) trainer in the country but I am a huge Brodie fan, always have been and despite looking terrible last time out i just hope he can still do something. I don't think he ...

Ask him to name the amateur boxing gym near Olivers. The old name not the new one (arrow, now bridgewater). Or ask him how people without cars used to get home and see what he says.

From memory think he opened it about 95 to be honest. I went a few years after that. Just ask your mate what the boozer near the gym is called and let me know what he says and i'll tell you if he's bullshitting mate. Sounds like he is though

Re: Khan threatens to turn back on UK over Froch comments

Autobarn simply overrates pressure fighters and has something against skilled boxers who use intelligence and skill to hit and not get hit. Dirrell was landing more punches and if not for a bogus judge scoring rounds the wrong way (which we all surely agree on), Dirrell would have technically been ...

Re: Bunce let himself down tonight

I dont think Dirrell is strong enough for the likes of Kessler/Abraham or even Froch, there was a huge strength difference. Add to that the fact both AA & MK can box to a very high standard than i think Dirrell gets knocked out. Froch was poor on saturday and im a big fan, he looked unable to de...

Re: Bunce let himself down tonight

Shafted, robbery, disgrace, sold-out, failed to pipe up. You all need to get out more. The reason that I never piped up and sold out by refusing to talk about the robbery, shafting disgrace is because I didn't think it was a robbery, shafting disgrace. There is no scandal: Dirrell gets it by a roun...

Re: Bunce let himself down tonight

One of the reasons i dont post on this site very often is that their is a certain 'hard-core' element of posters who form an opinion and then rather than discussing issues flat out insult and ridicule anyone who disagrees with them. I think to tell people 'you can't score a fight' etc when most peop...

Re: John Murray

Was at the fight last night and would just have to defend the ref, Thaxton looked seriously shaken with every shot that landed clean. At ringside we were saying his corner should give him one one more round then pull him out. I think Foster realized that Jonno has had a long career, been in some war...

I've followed both and seen both fight live (calzaghe on numerous occasions) so to say I haven't followed their careers because I hold a different opinion to you is ridiculous so i will respond with an equally ridiculous statement. Suck my nutz. Cheers.

J, I have toothache so sorry if i'm struggling a little here. Castillo? If you had him top 5 p4p fair enough but i strongly disagree. He wasn't even the best in mexico before the two mayweather or two corrales fights. The win over diego was to do with the weight and you know that as well as I do. Ho...
