Mr. Bassie is right. This had nothing to do with boxing. Winning a title by throwing over at least a 100 low blows within 9 rounds is outragious. The fact that everybody involved seemed pleased with it afterwards makes it even more shameful. Damn shame that the credibility of British boxing has sunk...

To the people who see Ottke's fights on German TV- what sort of things does he say in his post fight interviews? What sort of questions do the german pundits pose to him? Do they ever even touch on the fact that Ottke may have lost, or is it always 'OK Sven, you won again impressively, how did you ...

pvdh62, me being the president is an inside joke. If you find any of my old posts, you'll see why  I know. That's why I showed you this :D face. But it's true you are a great admirer of Tua's devastating right hand, aren't you? :D But seriousely, I know this is not a political forum, but I to...

Ottke's legacy................... The biggest spoiler of all times????????????? Boxing is easy when you know upfront that you are not going to lose. You can use all your energy by running, hiding and fouling if nescesary. And if the other guy does hit you, you just start complaining to the referee. ...

This has nothing to do with right or wrong, it's all about money. This is the conspiracy going on i...

Wow, 24 years in prison for spending $200. That judge must have been high on drugs himself IMO. I mean, face it. Using the stuff Nunn was caught on trying to make a buck is as common in american society as ordering a drink at a local bar. That is, for the priviliged ones. Such as businessmen, politi...

120-109 ??????????????

Ah, a German judge.

Rule nr. 1 in the scorebook over there: as long as the hometownfighter [especially if he's the champ] doesn't go down, he wins the round.

Right, Svennie?

Anyway, a fair win by Eastman, but by a much smaller range IMO.

I met Duran once, it was in Las Vegas in '98, the day before he fought William Joppy. He was very relaxed, very friendly. Took time for all his fans and people that greeted him. He signed autographs and took pictures with anyone who asked for it. The night after the fight he was hanging out with his...

I just called meneer van Dutch, and no, there isn't or ever has been a Dutch worldchampion. Even Tuur's WBO championship has to be taken lightly, since the WBO didn't have the credibility at the time he held it it has now[well,.......]. As Wouter already mentioned, Eddie Smulders did win a title in ...

My dear half-witted pdv, You do not know what the BIG media in the US (the major TV networks, the big newspapers --NY Times, Washington Post etc.) present to the large general public. Terap, you must be sick in your head. Good post Controversial. I knew Marciano's record wasn't build on much quality, but I didn't know it was that bad. Still many boxingfans put him in their all-time top 5, some of them even on top. Based on that, yes he is overrated big time. In fact, by today's standards, fighting the poor quality of...
