Agree that the ESPN one on Larry Holmes v Ali is great. Also any legendary nights (HBO). Best one in my opinion Chavez v Meldrick Taylor,v poignant.

Costs and viewing figures are the whole reason these shows cant be made. To make a good 24/7 that doesnt bore the pants off people then you need good production to get the footage which in any normal rpogramme means good camera crews, director and production staff then add on all the editing costs a...

The HBO 24/7 shows cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to produce. They have a full production crew following the respective boxers round wherever they are in the world leading up to the fight. The quality of the programmes are high because naturally that is supposed to make people buy the PPV. The...

The show this great little film is from is Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel. If ever there isa way you can catch it...(only ever seen it in the states) its brillaint. The sort of show the UK has been crying out for.

Manny Steward saying one of the reasons Hagler knocked out Tommy Hearns was the fact that Tommy had a pre fight massage on his legs, this took all the energy away from Tommy's legs!!!
Steward did say that as I watched it on the HBO Legendary Nights

This is an excellent book, really well written with some highly dubious characters, definitely worth a purchase
