Thank you all very much for your kind words. Believe me, to say Ali was touched when he read them is very much an understatement. We are having a small get together tonight in Glossop to say goodbye to him and he flies out next week. He has also agreed to be my best man in 2010, so looking forward t...

Ali calls it a day.
Welterweight boxer Ali Nuumbembe flies back to Namibia next week after a great 6 years on The British boxing scene. Ali has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the UK and has pulled off some amazing achievments. however he says his biggest achievment is meeting and befriending so many good people. Ali is...

and Nuumbembe (who lets not forget, lost to a beatable fighter in Watson last time) . It was a cut from a clash of heads, after Watson had already been warned 3 times for use of head. Personally think Watson will beat him 10 times out of 10 though. Can I have some of those drugs you are on????? Che...

Against Nuumbembe it's probably worth pointing out that Nuumbembe saved that show at very short notice and shed some weight very quickly. I think the original bill collapsed and as Ali has to earn a certain amount of money to keep his visa or something going,. Correct, Ali had to lose 9 1/2 lbs ove...

thanks chado. Who was winning when the cut happened? I had it four rounds each. It was the cut that hampered Ali's performance, due to lack of vision. The clash of heads actually floored Watson, but Ali copped for the cut eye. Watson had been warned 3 times about the use of head. Funny game this bo...

yeah i think he was winning at the time but it might of had something to do with Nuumbembe getting cut very early and a deep one and it was pouring into his eye for most of the fight, not a bad fight to be honest, i cant remember what round it was as im a bit pissed but i think it was about 7 or 8 ...

what happened in the watson fight. I was shooting my mouth off saying he had no chance. My predictions have been awful lately. Watson has certainly turned himself around since the loss to Fewkes. Unfortunatley a clash of heads opened a cut over Ali's eye and it was bleeding heavily. The blood was p...

it's nice for Ali that he won a professional boxing title while his Dad was alive. It must have meant the world to both. I've heard Ali's Dad was captured and taken prisoner in civil war (which Ali had to escape from) and got kept in a hole he couldn't stand up in til eventually he couldn't stand a...

What does it matter which colour they are, your comments seem a bit racist my friend. how can I be racist when I'm white? Our best known fighters are all either sicknoters or spoiled dicks who avoid the tough imported rivals. I know where your coming from but unfortunatley boxing is also a business...

Stegsie. Any word on the Ali Nuumbembe Commonwealth title situation. I was going to make a seperate thread on it, but I hope maybe you or Chado could answer. Word is that Magee vs Anderson is set for early next year (on Sky).... but Nuumbembe (Commonwealth) has been mandatory much longer than Eamon...
