Re: Idea for Saturday Fight Night!
I've often wondered why Sky don't utilise the red button on Saturday Fight Night and just show the entire card live, switching to Sky Sports at 8/9pm. They seem to have people sitting and commentating on all the fights preceding the live broadcast, in case they show these fights if the live fights f...

Re: Forget Amir Khan, what happened to AmEr Khan?
Khan was a decent fighter on his day. Very gutsy too. He pulled out a good number of close but fair decisions against top 20 domestic opposition. I think around 2004/2005, when Peter Oboh was such a formidable British champ that the title was in effect tied up, he was being built up towards a fight ...

Re: What's the longest inactivity before a world-title shot?
Not technically a world title shot, but Henry Maske came back after about a decade for his rematch with Virgil Hill (and won) in a non-title 12 rounder when Hill was still reigning WBA cruiserweight champion.

Re: Classic Fights not given enough credit
Got to agree on Lewis-Vitali. No heavyweight title fight comes close to it in the last decade (maybe Wladimir-Sanders for pure drama). Hamed-Kelley too. That fight just about personified Naz in 20 minutes. I always thought Barrera-Morales III was underrated especially due to the fact, after Pacquiao...

Re: Richard Williams
He would have smashed Steve Roberts to pieces though Stu I agree, just stating how boxing monthly ranked him. Not saying the writers of boxing monthly wouldn't have tipped Williams also. Just don't think any of those Light Middles made the top ten in their rankings. I think Ring had Roberts at arou...

In fairness Castillejo has been interim champion for nearly 2 years now. I think the WBC are being bastards, because they've now got a champion they can bully and force to accept the rules. Mosley and especially De La Hoya were big enough stars to be above the law. I know boxing's a strange sport, b...

My understanding is that Universum now have rights on Gonzalez and, with a quite a strong light-heavyweight stable, he'll surely be tied up in Germany for the forseable future. I still think a fight with Hopkins is possible, especially if Hopkins-De La Hoya is dead. It just needs someone to cough up...

Prediction League Suspended
I've just come in from an enforced day of government sponsored slave labour and found this mess. I've been reading this board for some time and am sure I'll be alright here and it will be nice to be reunited with a couple of old faces and meet some knowledgable new ones. However I'm probably more p*...
