Re: OZ boxers of the past - Discussion
As a kid I remember my father taking me to watch Tony Mundine training & being in awe of him. Ken Salisbury was one of my idols as a kid, when Ken Pedler was promoting his fights he would let me go into the dressing rooms after the fights & I was rapped that Ken Salisbury would always have t...

Re: Sakio Bika v Allen Green
I can tell you 100% that the reason that this fight was called off was due to visa difficulties. Sakio was fit & ready to go but his visa application, that was lodged in November, had not cleared. He needs a work permit to fight in the USA, not just a regular tourist visa. Sakio had taken this f...

Re: IS IT TIME FOR MEDLEY TO STEP IT UP ?
Rob is a very under-rated Boxer, I have watched him fight since he was a 14 year old kid, he has all of the attributes to become World Champion. He is with the right people at the moment to get him there, look for him to step it up very soon & fulfill his potential.

Re: oganov vs mundine, who wins!!!!
Choc would stop Victor, he is at a level that Vic will never reach. While some of you may not like him Choc is still a World Class fighter. This fight won't happen though, I believe that Nader will be too smart for Vic if they fight at the Contender. Although I don't expect it to happen, I would lov...

Re: 'SuperBoxer' and 'The Scorpion' return to Sydney - 30.07.09!
Gerry, I can assure you that Bika is a beast inside the ring. To say that his head has trippled in size since Contender etc shows that you don't know the man, he is a very humble person. Like anyone else, Sakio wants to get paid what he is worth. Unless you've been privy to the details of what has b...

Re: Sakio Bika three fights in three months
Asterix, Sakio can no longer make 160lbs for fights. His body has filled out too much since he last fought at Middleweight in 2005. He would rather take a fight at Lt. Heavyweight against Jean Pascal for the WBC if the opportunity came up? The Super 6 Tournament would've been great but Sakio is focu...

Re: Sakio Bika three fights in three months
Soundkamp, I understand where you're coming from but Sakio really is finding it incredibly difficult to get fights. We wanted Mexican-Matchmaker's Boxer as a 1st defence of Sakio's IBO 168lb Title but the IBO deemed him not suitable? Personally, I thought that this would've been a good fight but it'...

Re: Sakio Bika three fights in three months
Mexican Match-Maker, Sakio wanted the fight with your Boxer 22-0 but the IBO wouldn't sanction it for the Title, they said your boy wasn't ranked in their top 100 so no Title fight? Funny how they sanction a fight between 2 Lt. Heavyweights for their Cruiserweight Title but won't let an undefeated f...
