Re: Savannah Marshall vs. Franchon Crews-Dezurn | Sky Sports - 1 July 2023

Marshall 6/1 by KO/TKO is interesting. She can punch and put her shots together. Very polished under Fury. Crews is 36 and has not boxed for well over a year. Am biased as from her hometown and my mam and her mam are cousins BUT I genuinely don’t think price should be that big.

Benn v Watson

Just watched it again on YouTube. Amazing fight and atmosphere. Ref never had to split them up once. In a tent in Finsbury Park. Remember it on ITV like it was yesterday. 😍

Shields was 33/1 to win gold in 2012 (when Savannah was fav in London). Had it right off.

Re: What are your favourite fights that happened in a British ring?

Hunter v Pickering my favourite night. The old Borough Hall in Hartlepool was bouncing. Hunter was a 5/2 betting outsider and down twice in the first two rounds. Yet he was a man possessed that night. He would not be denied and slowly broke Esham’s heart. Really hellacious war between a British and ...

Re: Anyone hear Bunce's BBC 5Live Canelo-Ryder radio commentary?

Bunce has a good knowledge of boxing but given this is the only sport he’s covered as a journalist/ media man for 30+ years is that really surprising? I can’t get away with his subservient, unctuous, fawning ways though. Biggest ‘company’ man in the game. It’s probably why he has endured as long as ...

Re: Martin Bakole's 'BIG' Fight ..

To be fair that Yoka win on the road was a fantastic result. I think he’ll make Dubois vacate and pushed by Boxxer fight for WBA.

Bakole is really, really good. Hope he gets right amongst it now.

Re: Lewis Ritson vs. Ohara Davies - 4 March 2023

Pleasantly surprised to see Ward at 3/1 to win this. At his best he’s a pure boxer and a real handful. People may mock but I give Tommy (and Mick Conlan) a much better chance of beating Lara than Warrington and Wood based on styles.

Re: Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury | BT PPV - 26 February 2023

I'm surprised the consensus on here isn't this fight is a wash for Tommy, people are judging what they read over what they see, like Paul had name recognition, Silva did not care. Fury when he fought the 11-0 guy, now that guy was still a bit of a van, but he does have good feet and a good jab, cou...

Wonder if Azim hurt his hand in delivering that knockdown in R2? Won’t do him any harm going 10. Still a red hot prospect.

Re: Adam Smith leaving Sky boxing, bitches!

David Haye should be on SKY as either presenter or colour commentator. He's a very good talker and obviously knows the game inside out. I'm old enough to remember when commentators didn't show any biased, but that all changed after Harry shouted, "Get in there Frank." Like most on here, I...

Re: Troy Williamson vs. Josh Kelly | CH5 - 2 December 2022

Great fight this. Kelly has the edge in skill but Troy is the bigger man and carries more power. Genuine 50-50 fight with both men evens with the bookies (which you rarely see)

Troy KO/TKO between R6 - 12 :salut:

3/1 looks too wide on Bateson who won’t be short of support. Not seen loads of the other kid mind so bit of a leap of faith but can’t not get stuck into Bateson at those odds.

What the hell happened there Didn't anyone else see it? Barrett took a lot of hits throughout the fight and lost his legs. I had it 78-73 for Rakhimov That’s ridiculously wide! And I’ve just won £630 on Barrett getting stopped. Could actually see that end of R8 he almost staggered to his corner. Pu...

Mad that everyone apparently knew on September 23. And that it would have happened if there was no leak. Wonder how many dirty screens from high profile fighters have been buried in the name of cash.

Borges was enjoyable. Good insight into Tyson v Holyfield I. He claims he had $2,500 on Evander at 17/1. The man had some balls of that’s true.

Bought 2 x £100 tickets for this and travelled from Hartlepool on the Friday for the weigh in, only for fight to be scrapped Friday PM. Was looking forward to main event more than any other fight booked for the rest of 2022 but at the minute I don’t think I’ll bother in October. For BBBofC to make t...

Olympic Boxing - Weight Changes

Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but what are the weight changes in the Olympic boxing for Paris 2024? Steve Bunce in Boxing News this week alludes that it is going to be an absolute disaster for GB boxers?
