I believe I've proven my point. Thank you. My work is done. 8)terap wrote:bfan is mentally ill.
He is fixated on one item---as seriously mentally people are.
And he is trashing thread after thread on boxrec with his sick fixation.
What a piece of garbage he is.

I already pointed out to you that a few colored fighters picking up titles here and there does not mean that integration had taken place. Full-integration is what I'm talking about. I don't suppose you know what that is? That is the equal participation of all ethnic groups. That didn't come to be un...

Tell me all about Tiger Flowers, you half-witted shill for the media mantras. You DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT earlier eras of boxing. A natural reaction in (stupid) human beings is to say, "If I don't know it, then it's no good." You--and the media salesman whose lines you parrot to the let...

bfan is in the process of trashing all the threads on boxrec with a single MANTRA from the modern boxing media. bfan and the salesmen in the modern media he is parroting are incompetent to do with the subject of boxing and have NO *INTEREST in boxing. Their ONLY INTEREST is in spewing out and sprea...

It's difficult
It's difficult for me to rate fighters pre-1930s. Fighters fought under a different set of social rules that discriminated against fighters of color in all facets of American life, particularly American sport. A black heavyweight was briefly allowed to challenge for the heavyweight title when Jack J...

Are you and your buddy and fellow expert Nigel Collins the least bit concerned that Jack Johnson kept three great black heavyweights-- Sam Langford, Joe Jeannette, and Sam McVey, from getting their rightful chance at the heavyweight title? My previous post addresses that point. I basically stated t...

Johnson
At least he had the balls to fight Langford before he became champion. The same cannot be said about Jack Dempsey.
When rating the great fighters of years past, I only rate fighters that came post-integration. Dempsey doesn't belong.

Ricardo Lopez amateur record
Does anyone know where I can find Ricardo Lopez's complete amateur record? Someone told me that he was unbeaten in the amateurs as well. I found one place that lists his amateur record as 37-1. I'd like confirm his amateur record. Thank you.

Dempsey
Nigel Collins is on the money with Dempsey. I too don't acknowledge him as one of the greatest heavyweights of all-time. The man was a racist that flat out refused to fight many fighters of color. Pre-integration boxing needs to be locked up in a closet.

Re: Old Ring Magazine Ratings
Jaclem inspired this idea earlier. The 1981 edition of The Ring Record Book contains their annual ratings from 1924-1980. As a service to our readers, anyone who would like to see the ratings of a certain weight division for a certain year, just ask and I will post it here. One of the deepest divis...

Thanks blue.
Was he dropped in the Escobar bouts? How many times?
Do you have the resources which talk about the Becerra fight? Was he dropped in that fight? Did he deserve to win?
I really appreciate your help with my research. Thanks.

Salvador Sanchez vs Juan Escobar
I'd like to know how boxrec confirmed that Sal Sanchez was dropped twice in this bout. I'd also like to know how boxrec confirmed it to be controversial. I read somewhere that he was also dropped against Antonio Becerra (only official loss) and he was robbed in Becerra's hometown. Any way to confirm...
