Re: Should Chisora and Haye Be Allowed To Fighton July 14th?

Definitely not. They should only be allowed to fight once they have served appropriate suspensions/sanctions following their disgraceful behaviour. IMO :)

Re: Mike Tyson in Amsterdam

I remember our school assembly the Monday after Tyson won the world title - our head of year lauded him as an example of what could be achieved through hard work and dedication. Kinda makes me chuckle all these years later. Aside from his out of the ring problems, he was one of the most exciting fig...

Re: Crackers Chisora threatens to 'choke Haye to death'

Heiwa. So, you think they should have been given fines and served suspensions, then you'd be OK with them fighting? Is that your view? If so, then I see your point. Though in all honesty, as I outlined above, I think that people are getting/got to carried away over the incident, calling for life-ti...

Maybe its you with the problem rather than us :TU: Maybe it's you who should have a problem with it. If you cared about the sport that is  Yeah what exactly is your affiliation with the sport to pass judgement on who is or isnt a proper boxing fan? I'd like to see boxing as popular as it used ...

Re: Crackers Chisora threatens to 'choke Haye to death'

I really can't see the fuss. Two blokes in a sport hardly known (no offence to any boxers or nothin') for intelligence of it's participants, indeed a sport where the aim is to give the opponent immediate (though hopefully not long-term) brain damage or debilitating bodily pain, get a bit carried aw...

Re: Crackers Chisora threatens to 'choke Haye to death'

I'm just amazed so many people are ok with this whole sorry episode. Simply shameful :( Great way to alienate boxing even more from the casual fan, and some so-called fans of the sport complain that boxing is in decline and mma is on the rise. No wonder - some of you really need to see the bigger p...

Be careful not to exhibit any form of sporting prowess. You'll find yourself issued an English passport and on our Olympic squad before you know it :TU:

Re: Punching In The Throat.

Very interesting!

I'm guessing there aren't more occurances of this due to the fact that most boxers keep their chins tucked down, thereby protecting the throat to a degree, and also the size of a glove makes it hard to land with a lot of force directly on the throat area.

Re: allegedly reply to Board,20,000 tickets sold

Now...I may be talking out my arse here, and please feel free to say so, but this fight is a big deal. In fact it'll be massive. The BBBoC are dead against it and whether they are right or wrong in their stance is down to opinion. But nearer the fight time I can see them come out with a statement t...

Re: Board Statement on Haye/Chisora

This gives the likes of Burns and Mitchell a decision to make. Do they take the big fight (and payday), but risk losing their licence? If they care about their sport, there's no decision for them to make. In an ideal world yes. But these guys aren't millionaires, and there's more of their career be...

It was an enjoyable fight - not quite as enjoyable as the Huck Afolabi fight, but still good. I'm not a big fan of Mayweather as a person (well, the bad-boy persona he cultivates anyway), but I'm an admirer of his skills. Cotto did as well as I think he could do, but as so many others have found, Fl...
