Re: Dazzo Williams Lonsdale Belt for sale
I used to box for the amateur club that Dazzo trained at when he was a pro, I got to know him well over the years, so whilst I am surprised he is willing to sell the prized trinket due to it being a reward and justification of sorts for the years of hard work he put in, he always seemed to have a fu...

Re: Bill in Muhammad Ali’s name would create UFC-like business model for boxing
I didn't realise it had got that far through Congress yet, they must have lobbied well to get it looked at so quick. The belts situation is the same old story, fight fans will know who the real champs are, though we might not see the best fight the best regularly, which hasn't really been the case a...

Re: Bill in Muhammad Ali’s name would create UFC-like business model for boxing
I like Dana White and think he comes across well in interviews, and the UFC is a good business model. I do find it quite troubling that the only way this new organisation can or is willing to proceed is by changing the Muhammad Ali act that was set up to prevent fighters being exploited, it'll mean ...

Re: Randall Tex Cobb
Thanks for the post, I hadn't seen those clips before but had watched some of his matches and read some interviews with and on Tex. Posts on Tex usually seem to focus on his unique character then ultimately his skill shortcomings, he had a good career if you look at how many contenders he took on an...

Re: Kevin Evans should turn pro
Had big offers years ago to go professional - I think he is too busy running his gym to want to consider it now. In my opinion he would win a British title in great shape now and has beaten all of the british contenders in the amateurs also has beaten a lot of european contenders in the amateurs as ...

Re: KEVIN EVANS NOT SELECTED FOR COMMONWEALTH GAMES
such a shame a class act in and out of the ring the decision not to take him doesnt make sense seeing as they are not sending anyone else. I feel they should notify fighters before a championship if they wont be selected as they have wasted Kevins time

Re: Scott Harrison
How did he win last night?
Its tough 2 judge if he would have beaten the guys listed below as Scott didn't always prepare properly for fights. I don't think he would have Morales, Barrera etc but that's just my opinion.
Good post/thread

Re: Boxing News Top 100 - Randolph Turpin ???
I believe that Sugar Ray was the best fighter of all time. The Randy Turpin defeat gets overlooked unfortunately as Randy was a very good boxer. Cerdan was an excellent fighter who blitzed through the world rankings until he came unstuck due to Jake Lamotta (through injury) I think the best of all t...

The show in Newport is another George and Dragons promotions show. I think the main event is Lee Churcher vs Gary Cooper in a rematch for the Welsh title

Luke is 20 years old. His dad is training him and Kyle King who also boxed and won a four rounder on the show. Not sure if he coaches any other pros.

The show is being promoted by George and Dragon Boxing Promotions which is being run by Steve 'Sammy' Simms their last show was headlined by Lee Selby fighting Dai Davies for the Welsh Featherweight title. I dont know if Matthew Edmonds will be fighting or not. I spoke to Jamie a few weeks ago and I...
