Re: Round-by-Round: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - 24 September 2022

The other thing I can’t work out with Joyce is he never ever marks up. He has these huge scars around his left eye, they almost look like the facial stab wounds that guy in Platoon has. I always wonder what the story is behind them. But vs Dubois and here vs Parker he ships shots and yet no black ey...

Was still rising at 9. Holding the ropes and facing the wrong way. Pretty sure he didn’t beat the count.

Huge right hands right on the button and Joyce's facial expression doesn't even change ffs.

Absolutely incredible how effective Joyce is while being so slow.

I always saw Carl Froch as very slow of hand and foot but Joyce is much slower and yet the chin, power and skills just make him so tough to beat.

Re: Round-by-Round: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker - 24 September 2022

Parker making Joe miss a bit but Parker already has a bloody nose. Parker exiting in a bit of an odd way where he almost turns his back and Joyce throwing a shot every time Parker exits this way that's catching him on the lower back area. Parker throwing and landing a lot of body shots tho, some str...

On Talksport Gareth Davies has just been saying how good Heaney had been looking  He's one of the most protected and manufactured 'prospects' I can ever remember. The amount of work and exposure Gareth A Davies gets is infuriating. Anyone who insists on their middle initial being part of their...

Re: Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez vs. Gennadiy 'GGG' Golovkin III - DAZN PPV - 17 September 2022

It's suggested via Dan Rafael that this did 550-575k views only in the US. I would be amazed if that was correct - Hearn will be out with a different view pretty sharpish I reckon. If that is correct, then someone has lost their shirt big time on that fight. It’s rare to have close to firmed up num...

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022

Yeah I’m backing Parker here I think he will rock Joyce very hard several times in the first 4 rounds and will then win enough of the rounds beyond that to win 116-112 - 117-111 sort of thing.

Also despite his chin I won’t be at all surprised to see Joyce on the floor in this fight.

Honestly couldn’t really split them in the final round which would make it a draw on my card, Woodhall also has a draw although got to it in a totally different way. Scores could be a mess Yeah let us know the scores once they are official. Quite interested to see how this one’s gone weirdly enough.

Serrano rematch and the winner of Cameron v McKaskill are the only fights left for Taylor. And ultimately Serrano is a natural Featherweight so might not even be interested now the money is banked.

Re: Joe Joyce vs. Joseph Parker | BT PPV - 24 September 2022

This is a really good match up but never PPV. Neither of them have ever beaten a world class opponent. They’re fringe world level - if Joyce wins convincingly then fair enough he makes strides towards the elite bit if Parker wins he’s only beaten a guy whose best win was Dubois. Personally I'd put ...

They won’t cancel sport. They’ll just have a moments silence.

And I expect if Adam Smith will have to explain to us that Mikaela Mayer coming out to ‘don’t stop me now’ by Queen was in no way a dig at the Queen dying.

Am
I alone in thinking Mayer v Baumgardner is the better fight?

Super feather is one of the premier divisions for the women. Once you get up to Welterweight it seriously thins out.
