Re: Brook vs Khan in 2017 ?

Hope it happens, but not so sure it does.

Brook looked in great shape at 160 and he was nearly 170 at the IBF check weigh in the following morning, and he looked solid. It going to take an awful lot out of him to make 147lbs again. He must be walking around at 180lbs plus.

Re: Brook V Cotto @ 154

Read somewhere that Cotto has it in his latest contract (presumably with Roc Nation) he has to receive a minumum of $15,000,000 for his next fight. Would a fight with Brook allow Cotto to receive that sort of sum?

Re: Did Dominic Ingle make the correct decision ?

Yes, he did. People should remember, Brendan Ingle was with Gerald McClellan the night he fought Benn. Taking the above into account, the Ingles are about as qualified as anyone to know the dangers of our beloved sport. Antonio Margarito suffered a similar injury when he fought Pacquiao, and his dop...

Witherspoon got bombed out by Smith in less than 3 minutes. That effectively, ended any realistic chance of Tyson-Witherspoon happening.

Re: Froch v Calzaghe

Calzaghe way past his peak beat B-Hop. Says it all, no contest. Watched the fight twice & Bernard was the winner, in my view. It was a person goes for though, in all honesty. Busiest or less busy but more effective. Had there been a rematch, Hopkins would have made sure second time around. Look...

The Stewart who gave Evander Holyfield all he could handle in 1989 would have, in my opinion, beaten any version of Sanders.

Re: KOTV last night: Lennox- Lewis vs. Weaver

The debate about "Tyson avoiding Lewis, Lewis avoiding Tyson", has been done to death. However, the nearest the fight got to being made was after Tyson beat Bruno in March 96'. In his book, "No Baloney", Frank Maloney states, "An offer of $10,000,000 was laid on the table f...

Re: KOTV last night: Lennox- Lewis vs. Weaver

I disagree, Tyson had a rock solid chin and a heart of a Lion. And he proved it when going toe to toe with Ruddock, Bruno etc. Tyson was never sparked by a single shot in any of his losses. And in each of his losses he went out on his shield. Lewis on the other hand never got to show us his fightin...

Re: What Next for The Cobra

Hopkins has expressed his eagerness to fight Froch & has said he'd travel to the UK. Carl said it would need to be at a catch weight, so I say make it at 172/173lbs & it's on.

Froch got hit a great deal last night, so Bernard must fancy his chances.

February 11th, 1990. It still remains THE most shocking & unforeseen Ending to a sporting event in history. Buster Douglas, a 42/1 underdog, socks the world & becomes HW Champion of the world. I was only 5 at the time, but it broke my heart! My childhood hero, Mike Tyson, was battered. Anyon...

Re: If Frampton v Quigg happened next who wins ?

Anyone have any clue as to hw much Quigg has to drain to make weight? He looks absolutely huge compared to most and that will surely bite him in the arse eventually? On the other hand Frampton seems quite average in size at the weight, but clearly has the speed of hand and foot not many others do. ...

Re: David Haye in the 1980s Heavyweight scene?

I actually think that Haye would do well in the 80s, he would've definitely won a World title somewhere down the line. Though I don't give him much chance against the Mike Tyson who arrived towards the end of the decade. Tyson who arrived on the scene would have iced Haye in the first! Imagine that...

Bruno's purse was £4,000,000. Tyson's was $30,000,000 for the rematch. Yes Bruno was the champ, but Tyson was the BIG draw. He was doing massive PPV ratings at the time.
