Re: Lomachenko
From a technical viewpoint he has the best footwork I have ever seen. The angles he creates are fantastic. Must be natural ability as I have no idea how you'd coach someone to do that. No. Angles, turning your opponents, hiding on them, switching stances at the right instances, etc are all teachabl...

Re: Lomachenko
I don't think anyone can deny he looks the part. From a fundamental standpoint, he's as good as they come. Who you fight plays the biggest role in your historical standing in boxing, though. We have to wait and see if he'll even get the big fights, because right now it doesn't look like too many fig...

I haven't watched most of today's boxers fights on live TV. Don't think it matters the tiniest bit.

It was a surprising result, but I was never nearly as taken with Uchiyama as a lot of people seemed to be. He's getting up there in age, too, obviously.

Re: roman gonzalez seems overrated to me
He's faced better opposition than just about anyone in the sport. @108 Estrada (2012): Quality win but only 22 years old and not the fighter he has since developed into. @112 Yaegashi (2014): Fantastic win, no question. Sosa (2015): In his mid-30s when the fight happened, way past his prime. Vilori...

Re: Roman Gonzalez goes to 45-0
So, he doesn't look marvelous in one fight (against the biggest puncher in the division and a guy who arguably beat Ruenroeng), but still wins wide, and all of a sudden he's overrated?

There's no question whatsoever that Tyson rates very highly in an 80s list. Well above Holyfield, for sure.

I would please like to know how good was former welterweight and light middleweight champion Simon Brown? I watched the fight on You Tube and he was one tough fighter. Oh, you watched "the fight"? That's good, everyone should watch the fight at some point. It's a good one. Anyways, he was...

Re: Post Your Scorecards
Locche could fight very well when he wanted to, but he didn't often need to due to A) the Argentinian judging system at the time, and B) his immense popularity. He could get away with just clowning and going through the motions in most cases, and he knew it. In my opinion, he looked phenomenal again...

A young boxing fan who's just entering his "Tyson was overrated!" phase. What else is new. Soon you'll move on to Marciano, then Ali, etc.

Cutting off the ring doesn't translate to speed. Liston wasn't fast. He was long, with top notch distance control and timing. That's what allowed him to land.
