Re: Vitali/Gomez v Maskaev...what about Haye???
Beats me how they need to wait 6-7 months before fights these days. Why not April?? I agree, the only thing I can think of is waiting for the football season to finish for a stadium date :?? Is this really a stadium fight though? I don't think Haye is that well known to fill a stadium as yet. Did t...

Crooked judging, no way Valuev won that. Not even close.

Valuev doesn't look like he's even trying. I know he's not that good but he's not doing anything.

Re: Impact on Golden Boy promotions
Nonsense. DLH will now retire but it wont affect his promotional company any. He's 35 don't forget.
He'll now promote Pac v Hatton or Pac v Mayweather and make a fortune.
Hardly a negative impact.

Re: FROCH POST-MORTEM
A good win for Froch but there are much stiffer tests at 168 than Pascal. Kessler would box his ears off. He'd easily land that ramrod jab and straight right all night. I can't see it going 12 in all honesty, Froch has a good chin but absolutely no defence for straight shots. He does use his gloves ...

Re: O/T -- WHATS THE CAUSE OF KNIFE CRIME THEN? EVERY1 CHIP IN
What we really need to deter youngsters from crime is a brutal prison regime and I do mean brutal. Savagely beat inmates day and night, break them down physically and mentally so that they cry themselves to sleep like babies, keep them away from ALL aspects of society - no TV, playstations, magazin...

Re: BILLY GRAHAM RETIRES
I can just see through their act. All this shit about man of the people and doing things for the fans and they're all about money it's clear as day. Fair enough that's their prerogative, but continually trying to shove the man of the people shit down everyones throats got old long ago. Fair enough i...

Re: Cotto - Margharito SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
You could probably take a bat to Margarito's head and he'd shake it off. Body shots would probably have slowed him down in the later rounds when Cotto needed a respite.

Re: Khan Sept Opponent?
Gainer's a Featherweight FFS! The last time he fought at Featherweight was over 3 years ago. His last 2 fights have been at Lightweight. And he's been taken to split decisions. 2 fights in the last 3 years, inactive for a year. He's fought most of his career at Featherweight and has had a couple of...

Simple really, a lack of discipline and a complete lack of respect for anything.
Bad parenting is the biggest cause for concern, but I don't really see what the solution is when the parents are often as bad as the kids themselves.

Re: Lacy Retires - good news for Froch
Jim Wilkes, Jeff Lacy's attorney and adviser, has confirmed to St. Peterburg Times boxing writer John Cotey that Lacy will return to the ring against Jermain Taylor on November 15. "I'm telling you, as Jeff's attorney, a deal has been reached," Wilkes said. "It took a lot of work, a ...

Re: Cotto - Margharito SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
Cotto could definitely win a rematch. I thought his tactics were spot on apart from not using body shots. There is no way Margarito is getting hurt to the head and Cotto headhunted the whole fight. Big mistake I think. But mix in a few body shots, take away the broken nose and Cotto has every chance...

Re: Williams vs McDermott result
I just used the Tyson fight as the obvious example. Most of Danny's defeats and/or poor performances were due to mental state and poor preparation. When fit and focused, we know what he can do. There are only really two defeats on Williams' record where you feel he was definitely beaten by the bett...

Sicknote strikes again!
I guess there's a possibility this may mean he doesn't fight Pavlik after/if he beats Jones? Will he really want to keep on fighting right into next year now? I'm not so sure he will.

Fair enough. Who knows what Williams could have achieved if he'd lived the life and kept his weight down his whole career. As it stands he has wasted away any potential he had with bad training habits and a pisspoor diet.

Outside Meehan (who he beat a long while ago) what wins does he have in world class?
Nobody say Tyson, he was shot to shit by then.
