Re: Who will you root for, Joshua or Fury ?

Fury is fun outside the ring but boring inside the ring.
AJ resume is much more convincing.

But may the best win.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev - December 12, 2020

To all you not in the US who could watch the bout on TV..how was it? (Im not sure it was shown here or not..was it?) It was one sided and somehow bizarre. Ref should have stopped it in the third after 2 KD and Pulev turned his back on AJ. Strangely Joshua pull the gas off after that and stick to th...

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev - December 12, 2020

Man, did Pulev sucked.

He didn't land almost anything except rabbit punches. Even his supposedly good jab was not landing at all.

Fight should have been stopped in the third when he turned back.

He had stamina problems probably because he was roided up.
Ray Mercer trainer noticed that in their weigh in (chest and back acne), so they went for some strategy.

Re: THE RING rates TYSON FURY #1

Lewis avenged his losses. Tyson is not a top ten heavyweight. Ali avenged losses as well. Klitschko needed several years to rebuild his image. Foreman in his 2nd career was the underdog. Comparing Joshua to ATG's or near greats at this point is premature. But one thing is clear... Fury ballooned to...

Im so excited about this fight like I was with the Stiverne rematch.
Zero interest.
Both men are older now and Ortiz at 40 on the downhill, so the outcome should be quite predictable.

Is it really necessary?

Re: THE RING rates TYSON FURY #1

Real champions don't lose to 15-1 underdogs, and real champions can be in pisspoor condition and still find a way to succeed against all odds. What a load of bullshit. So Lewis, Tyson, Ali, Foreman, Klitschko and etc etc wre never real champions because they lost to underdogs at some point in their...

Re: Is Anthony Joshua among the top ten HWs since 2000 ?

Of course AJ is top ten. Top 5 if u ask me.
He has flaws as everyone but u can deny he's a dominant HW.
I dont even count Lewis because his main career was in the 90s, tho he was still a beast in early 2000's.

Re: heavyweights today

Klitschkos era was boring. No real competition and their style was boring and awkward. I think right now the division is quite fun and open. Wilder, Fury, AJ, Ruiz, Parker, some upcoming guys like Usyk. The only problem is there are so much organizations and money issues that it takes so long to see...

Re: Height Advantage at Heavyweight

I need to give you are hard time on two points. I don't think the Lewis comparison works; Lewis got caught; Joshua got outclassed. Joshua's behavior after the fight, which IMO was very classy, argues he a Mr. Rogers in nature. I for one was quite impressed with his post fight actions/words. Nailed ...

Andy Ruiz height

For me its clear that the listed 6'2 height is laughable. Im quite sure he's under 6 foot, not only because Joshua was towering over him. He has some appearances with celebrities recently all listed at 180-181 cm (OBJ, Jimmy Kimmel) and he didnt look at all taller than them. So we got a new champion...

I would be more concerned about AJ's lack of heart than his questionable chin or robotic style.

He looked all the time like he didnt want to be there. He looked not focused or smart at al.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs Jarrell Miller one of the biggest fights in history?

Wilder vs Ortiz was undoubtedly more anticipated than this fight in the US. Both fighters are basically unknowns in the American sports scene. I don't see Joshua having such electric charisma on a personal level that he's going to captivate a US public that pretty much ignores boxing. 100% agree.

Re: Large heavyweights Best looking physique

Maybe Lennox or Wlad from your list. Ali maybe had the most harmonious HW phisique, not overbuilt and more like an all around athlete. Norton was more muscled and chiseled as fornicate. Foreman was very good proportionated too in his younger days, but bigger than both. He always dwarfed every oppone...

Thats always an impossible answer. Best heavyweight based on what? There is no best heavyweigth ever. Aj is a very well rounded boxer, probablu the best out there today and for some years. Not even close in terms of power to foreman and others, but much more accurate and smart. Good technics, but no...

Povetkin did good and even rocked and broke AJ's nose in 1st round. He was wobbled and bleeding. He caught Aj with every overhand right he threw. But age has caught povetkin definitely, he ran out of gas early. Very nice finish by AJ, but not impressed at all with his performance. No jab, no footwor...

There's some clip in youtube of young George Foreman fighting a 6'7 guy Bob Hazelton.
If I remember correctly the guy was listed at 190+ something lbs.

Foreman killed him with a jab in 20 seconds tho
