Re: Mick Conlan speaks out
He definitely got robbed but Katie Taylor didn't. In Ireland everyone is going around saying Taylor got robbed. I'm not. ;-) Katie was well below her past best and didn't do enough to win. No one I've spoken to believes she deserved a win. Absolutely gutted for Conlan but I'm looking forward to see...

Conlon robbery was worse than the decision against Kenny Egan in 2008.

Re: John Duddy
Duddy was great fun to watch and I'd have loved to see him fight Pavlik or Abraham, but he was definitely smart to get out when he did. With his style every fight was going to turn into a war for as long as it lasted. Early on he was getting guys out of there, but he didn't really have the power to...

Why would BJS be looking to gain more Irish fans?BAP1 wrote:If this fight goes ahead I'll be disappointed. If Patrick Nielsen wins BJS would of missed a big opportunity to gain more Irish fans combined with a big payday. It just doesn't make sense to me!!

Re: FURY AND ROGAN TO FIGHT FOR IRISH HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
Lloyd Honeyghan banjoed Sylvester Mittee for his welterweight title in 1985, then Kirkland Laing finished Mittee in similar fashion. Thats three British champions in a row and not one of them from Britain or with any British blood in them! Dreary me! :TU: Chisora, Bayaar, Andries, Olusegun, Ochieng...

Re: Will Fury be affected by hostile atmosphere?
I can't see a hostile reception for Fury. Considering he had plenty of support for the Firtha fight at the King's Hall. He has family connections in Co. Antrim so it will be like a home fight for Fury having it in Belfast. Also Fury and Rogie are on good friendly terms at the moment and the fans kno...

Re: Macklin robbed ??
U Did Macklin have a higher work rate and throw more punches - yes But hitting arms elbows and gloves with 80 % of your shots does not win you a world title fight. Sturm won clearly with better quality and more effective punches, if anyone looked like they were about to get stopped it was Macklin. ...

Re: Off Topic: Bin Laden Killed by US Forces
Bin Laden shouldn't have being killed. By killing him in cold blood he only becomes a martyr and only leads to more people joining terrorist groups. He should have being captured and given to the The international criminal court in the Hague (He would most likely not get a fair trial in the US or Br...

Re: Atmosphere at the MEN tomorrow night
The atmosphere at the MEN on saturday was fúcking epic. The place was dead for the whole undercard, with the exception of Martin Murray's band of fans. Murray's fans brought alot of colour and singing to the arena. They seemed like a good bunch. When Dudey entered the arena the roof nearly lifted. T...

lets not forget that Khans only gave McCloskeys their tickets on the drip and they kept running out and a lot paniced and bought off ticketmaster. I would say there will be 7000 Irish fans between McCloskey, Murray, Kavanagh and Manc Irish, x2 The tickets weren't released for around ten days to McC...
