Re: Johnny Carter vs Diego Rosario

In rounds scoring, judges would give even rounds. There is no way in the system to denote that, so you have to assume that there were two even rounds when looking at that type of scoring.

These have been updated. I left the scorecards out of the Tomasello-Dotse fight, as I don't know where the scorecard error was that seems to have turned it to a draw.

There was one who fought under a Young name of a certain Light heavyweight champion, who I won't name out of respect, who was certain his father was a good fighter, but the truth was much less.

I have went ahead and named it Rockefeller Park Arena, to differentiate it from the more well known venue. If you know of a better...

Frankie Monroe, a busy club fighter from Lakeview, Oregon who I've entered many bouts for, had six cuts stoppages, which account for all of his recorded stoppage losses.

The Hogue brothers of California in the 1940s, were both bleeders. Big Boy Hogue has at least five cut stoppages. Cuts also played a part in several of their other stoppages. Earl Turner who was a big draw in Oakland during the 1940s also had at least five cuts stoppages, Turner also had a bad chin;...

A bunch of LA area papers have become available over on newspapers.com lately. I have been able to fill in a lot of gaps in our coverage, but some of these club programs of the 1930s are going to be a struggle to complete. The most difficult to find are going to be Pico, El Monte, and the Saturday s...

Re: Stamford Harris (HW) odd weight listed

I zeroed out the height. Perhaps someone can pull a credible height from a news source, for us to add. Cheers Matt, back to the initial query, his weight still shows as 188lb for me? I thought I had fixed that, but apparently not. I'm still getting used to the new system as an editor, so bear with ...
