Re: Poll: Khan v McCloskey - Who do you WANT to win?
McCloskey. Khan is the more talented and could well go on to unify the titles which Paul is unlikely to do. Khan has the good looks, style, Olympic success, TV following, Big time promoters and star quality. He is you Hollywood story. McCloskey is a local small town lad. Worked hard to make the most...

Re: Petition RTE to show Casey-Rigondeau
http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/january11/jan11_no_tv_for_casey.html This is disgracefull. This is Irelands biggest fight since Bernard Dunne got knocked on his ass and RTE are refusing to televise it. They're claiming they won't have the money to broadcast yet they broadcast any old stupid shi...

Re: Ian Tims V Michael Sweeney
Tims looks older than his years, think Sweeney should be the livelier of the two though Sweeney has been cursed with his own injuries of late and didn't he miss last weekends show through illness. Has the makings of a genuine grudge match.

Re: McCloskey lifts the lid on Khan offer
Khan is a talent and seems to have the looks and media following to make him a star. He could have an extended and very profitable career as he is still a young man, He could put himself in the baraket as Dela Hoya/Mayweather but it looks like his entourage are going to mess that up. Some one needs ...

Re: Date set for Macklin-Barker, or is it?
Hennessey has a smashing card lined up, real shame it is clashing with Warrens [also a good card] as both should be getting tv coverage. Has Hennessy any coverage/dealings with sky or what?

Re: Willie casey relishing underdog tag as Sweeney-Tims added
Wow, if Fitzy is so sure of his ability why is he vacating and not facing McDonagh himself.
Think I would like to see Spike shut him up.
By the way Slappy, any news of Spike. He's been inactive quite a while now. Was expecting things to have moved much faster after he sighed with Warren.

Re: Willie casey relishing underdog tag as Sweeney-Tims added
Casey starts back in training this week and his team are very confident. Ian Tims and Michael Sweeney have been added to the bill. That will be for the Irish Cruiserweight title. This was a fight that was supposed to happen last year but Tims got injured. Maybe some will remember the "war of w...

Re: if john simpson beats martin lindsay again
Simpson took his chance and won well. He deserves his break and a shot at the european title would be justified. As for the rematch in Ireland I hope he is being well paid and I don't believe the Belfast crowd would be at all happy if Lindsay was awarded a crooked decision but a rematch doesn't hold...

Re: Darren Barker would take macklin to the cleaners!!
Barker is a very tasty boxer but does not seem to have a big punch.
Macklin is more of a brawler but packs a punch.
In the heat of championship my vote would go to Macklin.

Re: Macklin targets Pirog for world honours
Macklin was on fire at the start of this year but what with the Barker fight cancelled and a few uninspiring performances things are a bit lacklustre at the moment. Macklin needs to make something happen for himself now so absolutely he should go after Pirog. No ones seems to want to know about Piro...

It is rather distressing when you are just one minute in and the Girl starts crying, thats why it is recommended that you ply them with drink first.

Provisional card Luis Garcia Vs TBA When is he gonna fight someone ? To be fair this guy is not eligable for Irish, British, commonwealth or European titles so they have to fork out for every opponent. While being great boxers the Cubans don't have a natural fan base and will have to work harder to...
