Re: Sugar Ray Robinson: 5 guys that would have beaten him

For the record back in Robinson's era when guys routinely fought series of 3 and 4 fights I think even Leonard would've taken losses against the likes of Hearns and all that. There's not too many Welterweights that I would pick as a shoe in over Robinson in his prime, but there's certainly a few who...

Re: Pro Palestine/ Hamas "Hate Mobs"

They are pushing this propaganda onto kids. They are pushing 'male to female' men into women's sports, changing rooms, prisons and clubs. They are forcing boring as shit pro-tranny messages into films, television, computer games etc. I'm willing to live and let live with these strange and troubled ...

Re: WBC creates transgender division beginning in 2023

I'd imagine these weight classes will consist of 1 or 2 people fighting each other, and then one of them retiring as the undefeated Champion right? How many Transgender Boxers could there possibly be?

Re: WBA Unanimously Approves 'Super Cruiserweight' Division

If all 4 governing bodies approve of it. They can do as they please. I will never watch a fight in this Weight class. It's an abomination and a bastardization of Boxing. And any 200 to 225 pound fighter that's worth watching would be the first one to say "I'm a f*cking Heavyweight!" Doesn'...

Re: LEGENDARY NIGHTS. M. TYSON VS L. LEWIS.

I just watched Legendary Nights. Tyson vs Lewis. When the two were youths the two sparred together. Tyson was having a hard time finding sparrig partners so the two amateur camps converged. There is a pictures of the two together. Any idea what Mike Tyson weighed back then. I have heard in smokers ...

Re: Joe Frazier vs. Ray Mercer

Frazier wins by UD in an all time great Heavyweight slugfest.

Mercer would definitely be tough enough to hang in there for the distance, and land his share of thudding shots on Joe, but Joe's superior skill wins the day.

Do you think so? I’ve never really considered that.
Obviously CZ is mentally ill.
I’ve always thought that JF is just a fqing idiot.
The line between Mental illness and Idiocy is quite thin.

Re: Frank Bruno v Smokin' Bert Cooper

I can see Cooper at his best giving Bruno a struggle, and rattling him with a few shots, but ultimately I feel like Bruno is the bigger, stronger guy. More talented. More heart I felt like. I think both guys would feel like they could beat the other guy so neither would give in easy, but Bruno is go...

Re: Most candidates for all-time #1

The all timers from 112 on down get a little tougher to determine. You got Jimmy Wilde, Pancho Villa, Pascual Perez, Benny Lynch, Miguel Canto. Not much separating any of those guys. At 108 even more so. 105 the top guy is definitely Ricardo Lopez Roman Gonzalez actually had a spectacular career as ...

Re: Roy Jones Jr. vs Andre Ward

Jones is just flat out better than Andre Ward

Ward needed a lot of advantages given to him to get where he got in Boxing. I don't think even crooked judges and shady referees can save him from defeat against Roy.

Unless he gets a Montell Griffin style DQ win over Roy or something.

Tank vs Haney/Loma/Regis Prograis/Teofimo Lopez/Shakur Stevenson or anyone else he's been ducking like his career depends on it.

That's about as much as I'm paying attention these days.

Saudi Arabia. The place that sheltered the 9/11 bombers and kidnapped and butchered a journalist? Great place to showcase your sport. :stop: Money over everything Absolutely, and that's what money does. Did you see the celebrity guest list? Re: Jose Luis Castillo vs. Freddie Pendleton

Pendleton is a guy who's career story I love, but I think he's in over his head against JLC here. Pendleton would give him fits, but JLC was ultimately too strong at this weight class, and would put too much pressure on Pendleton as the fight went.

Reasonably competitive bout early with Lennox taking control more and more as it goes on. He either stops TIllis later in the bout or wins a UD.

Re: Ranking the All-Time Jr Welterweights: The Toughest Division to Rank?

I think if Floyd had stuck at 140 he would make this list. He was nasty at 140. Yes I'd agree with that. He performed exceptionally well at the weight class. He just only ever had 3 bouts there which hurts his standing as far as time divisional ranking goes. If he'd had just 1 more bout there, and ...
