Re: Assisted dying

I'm for it. But let's be clear. You don't need the Government or anybody's permission to end your life anyway. You can do it anytime you f*cking want, via any method you want. If you're quadroplegic or just otherwise physically disabled I suppose you wouldn't be able to off yourself, and would need...

Plus no judges so it's an Automatic draw should it go the distance. Which means there's no longer any result possible except Automatic Draw.

Lara by decision, though I could see Vargas at his very best outhustling Lara. It's just that Vargas' prime was short as hell.

Re: Mike Weaver vs. Chris Byrd

I think Byrd would outbox Weaver more often than not. It's always possible he lands the KO shot on Byrd, but I think Byrd by decision is the more likely outcome.

Re: Michael Nunn vs. Bernard Hopkins

Even though Hopkins is a better fighter, and obviously more consistent. Stylistically I feel like this matchup favors Nunn who would present all of the same problems for Hopkins that Chad Dawson did. Though Hopkins losing many rounds, and coming back to stop Nunn later in the fight wouldn't be incon...

Re: Fights That Should Have Been Stopped, Only For The Opponent To Come Back And Win.

If you would've stopped Pacquiao vs Marquez 1 in the 1st round after Pac scored his 3rd knockdown, nobody would've complained. Nobody would've thought it was unfair.

But look what we would've missed out on. Marquez technically eventually came back to win....the 4th fight  So I say it counts.

Re: Million Dollar Tournament (LHW) begins week 16

The Titles were always on the line in the MDT before, I don't like the fact that they won't be on the line this time.

If that's the way the wind is blowing, I'll go with it, but let me just say. This wind blows.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 15 MATCHUPS

With both of my stable coming off losses, and the Million Dollar Tournament looming on the Horizon meaning tough bouts are about to the one and only path being taken for the next several weeks. I think it's fitting to have a softer touch this week in preparation of such a massive undertaking. In ord...

Tszyu stops Angulo in a one sided fight. Angulo was an aggressive guy, and was tough, but had little else going for him in terms of Elite skill.

Re: Event#14 EMM vs Rondon....Qawi vs Hall.....Fitz vs JHL...IBFChamp Loughran vs Tunney

Bad week for the BrainTrust.

I'm thinking my boys have been spending a little too much time partying, and not enough time training. I'll be having a word with 'em, and they'll be back to their fighting best soon.

I know they're better than what they showed me this week.

Braehmer cannot be taken lightly for sure. Charles will get his revenge, but for now we just have to take the loss, and move on to the next bout.

Re: Million Dollar Tournament (LHW) begins week 16

I almost feel like my guys oughta sit out to let someone else's fighters have a chance to win this thing....but I won't.

If anyone is going to achieve the greatness that the BrainTrust have so many times. They'll have to go through Ezzard Charles and Bob Fitzsimmons for the privilege!

Re: Heavyweights: Rocky Marciano vs. Gene Tunney

Either Tunney by decision or Rocky by KO with a come from behind stoppage.

I'd lean toward Tunney decision, but we never really got to see a lot of Tunney against Top Heavyweights, so it's hard to gauge just how good he was or wasn't at that weight.

Re: Mike Tyson vs Michael Moorer (1996)

Tyson definitely could've beaten Michael Moorer. I think he'd stop him inside 6 rounds. Moorer would do well in some rounds, but I don't think he'd be able to avoid Mike's big shots all night, and his chin wouldn't hold up when they land.

A good win for Fitz. Perhaps he'll be in line for another title shot soon. If not there's a few names he has his eye on.

Re: LHW SEASON WEEK 13 MATCHUPS

Bob Fitzsimmons will fight Jurgen Braehmer if nobody else is gonna step up. That being said. We'll accept any remaining managed fighters' challenge should somebody step up, but I suspect they won't. Foster wants no part of Qawi. Let Dwight whoop your Bob. Accepted. Qawi will make a fine opponent.

Re: Ray Mancini versus Azumah Nelson

Nelson by hard fought decision. Due to the size and strength advantage Mancini would be able to give Nelson his share of problems, but Nelson was ultimately too crafty for Mancini and would outbox him in most rounds to take a UD in a good fight.

Canelo has taken on name after name. He's been fighting for a long f*cking time, and to me he's earned the right to pick and choose at this stage of his career.
