Re: Disgusting Night for boxing
I agree. This was supposed to be a SuperFight? These guys stole the spotlight of boxing for the last 6 years, and this was supposed to be an epic fight.... I know some people who think they are legit "homies" with Floyd will hate what I have to say, but truth be told, I'm even more disappo...

Re: I hate Al Haymon because.....
While most promoters become popular and rich because they make great matches, Haymon looks like he just has a monopoly of some sorts by babying his boxing clients and giving them easy matchups. It sucks for the fans, but it's good for his boxers and gives him and his boxers easy money.

The regular version looks better imo. It's easier to read and guide your eyes.
Plus, I don't see the "shows schedule" on the new version.

Re: Montreal Card
Great fight.
I really don't have a problem with that early stoppage. Was it early? Sure. But I'm 99.5% sure that Pascal was just going to sit on that corner some more and take more dangerous shots. The ref saved him some brain cells.

Re: Montreal Card
The punch stats will be interesting ... Cunningham surely landed more but maybe the judges were looking at the harder punches ? Doesn't change the fact that Glaz only won 4 rounds tops, which were the rounds where he landed those "hard punches". The judges are just stupid. Plain and simpl...

Re: Montreal Card
I really feel for Cunningham. The man can't catch a break. He's definitely a boxer better than his record. Glaz might have landed more power shots, but that isn't enough when you only won 3-4 rounds. Not sure what these judges were watching. 112-116?! I can't even see how Glaz could have won half th...

Re: What's the deal with Mayweather and Justin Bieber?
Does anyone know why Bieber and Mayweather are so close? It seems a really odd pairing to me and I can't work out why Bieber walks into the ring with him and even appeared on stage with Mayweather for the Pac press conference. Are they really just good friends or do they share the same publicist. N...

Should there be a Super Heavyweight Division?
It came up in another thread, so I thought I would start a thread here. Light Heavyweight: 175 Cruiserweight: 200 Heavyweight: 200+ That's a pretty big gap between Light Heavyweight and Cruiserweight. And even though Heavyweight is 200+, you will hardly find anybody who is between 200-220 anymore. I...

Re: Why is the Cruiserweight division so boring?
It's not always the most popular idea on here, but i'd still like to see CW 175-190 then heavywieght given a band between 190 and somewhere over 200, perhaps about 210 or 215 and the introduction of a super-heavyweight division above that. the 25lb gap between LHW - CW is too big. Then as a result ...

Where do watch older boxing matches in decent qaulity?
Do you guys just use YouTube to watch old fights? I'm trying to find a place to watch them, and YouTube is ok. But even for fights in the 90s and early 2000s, it's hard to find good quality with original US commentary. And sometimes when I do find one, it's some ESPN Classic with different commentar...

While PBC is a good idea, it looks like it's just going to be Haymon guys only.

I don't think he was overrated. He beat good guys and defended his WBC and WBA for a while.
That move to Heavyweight was completely pointless though.
He might have gotten more attention than he deserved because he was cool, but that doesn't make him overrated.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised. I always felt if these 2 would ever met, there would be some staging going on. End of their careers, tryin' to cash out.

Re: Why is the Cruiserweight division so boring?
Personally, even though I am American, I do like the European style of boxing. I'm Albanian born in America, so maybe that's why. ;) But, a division needs 2-3 good Americans to make things interesting.
And I just saw Roy Jones is ranked 24-25th in this division.
I guess this is his 7th chance.

I had a dream that Mayweather demolished Manny in the first round with some lethal uppercuts. Then Manny sucker punched Mayweather after he was named the victor.

Re: Why is the Cruiserweight division so boring?
Good points. I noticed there wasn't an American in the top 25 in that division. Also noticed that there wasn't even one Cruiserweight in the top 25 P4P rankings. Even if there was a dominate boxer in there to unify the belts, I still think it won't make the division that much attractive. You'll need...

Why is the Cruiserweight division so boring? Nobody every talks about this division. I would think it would be a popular division, since it would seem like a lot of boxers would try to make weight in this division before going up against legit giants in the Heavyweight division. My only guess is tha...

Re: Will there be any "absurdity" in Mayweather/Pacquiao?
With the money involved with this fight, you have to be weary about possible payoffs all over the place. There's really no way to stop it. I'm talking about both guys camps and promoters. Honestly, I'm more worried about if Manny and May are just looking to cash in before they retire and not go ful...
