Re: Why doesn’t America create a national commission and take over boxing?
The topic at hand was why does America not govern boxing. The constitution was created to limit government involvement. It was not meant to run every aspect of our lives. If you think government control of every aspect of your life is a good thing. Well good for you. I happen to feel that the less ...

Re: Do you think the Alphabet Belts should unify to create one superbelt?
They don’t so much have to unify but let’s say they all get together and make mandatories of each title to fight for the other titles. So the WBA champion, his mandatory is to fight the WBO champion for 50/50 with a rematch clause and so on and so forth. All the sanctioning bodies make the mandatory...

Re: Why doesn’t America create a national commission and take over boxing?
MMA continues to do well in the US largely because its simpler and straightforward. One weight class, one champion - not rocket science. And theres also a lot less weight classes available. Another important aspect of UFC is how the best are forced to fight the best. Managers and promoters cant con...

Re: Why doesn’t America create a national commission and take over boxing?
What do you mean “every other sport”....most professional sports in the US (football, baseball, basketball) are almost completely run by private businesses. Yes but they are national leagues. They run the whole sport. I don’t care if it’s public or private I just want boxing run by one entity so we...

Re: Why doesn’t America create a national commission and take over boxing?
Jesus, how do you turn a boxing thread into a right wing/left wing debate?
I guess we should allow 10,000 vampires to manage 5,000 boxers and get rich off them as the boxers in return get screwed and God forbid brain damage in the end.

Why doesn’t America create a national commission and take over boxing?
Like every other sport, why doesn’t America regulate its boxing scene with a national commission and then it would be easier to manage dope cheats and sanction fights across the nation. Boxing is so messy in the USA. That’s prolly why it’s died here. Wilder is American and he’s the WBC champ and lit...

Re: Do you think the Alphabet Belts should unify to create one superbelt?
With all the money DAZN has put into boxing, they could have bought out all four major bodies and unified them into the DAZN belt hahahahahaha dontnknow why they didn’t.

Do you think the Alphabet Belts should unify to create one superbelt?
I think if the WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA unites into one belt it would be something special for boxing. I’m sick of all the ducking and hiding with the belts being excused as an excuse. I never understand what all these belts are for. There should be one super belt. One champion. Defending his titles. B...

Re: Which division is the "Weakest"?
Cruiserweight. Besides Usyk and two other Eastern Europeans the whole division seems like it’s not even there. I hear little about every division but since Usyk moved to heavyweight I haven’t even heard the word cruiserweight

Whoever Pulev is working with its paying off. He looks like a new man lately. Far cry from his Klitschko days where he looked demotivated.

Re: Malignaggi To Compete in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship
Bare knuckle boxing is not worth the scars and damage done to your face. I’m interested in this fight. But then again, I’d be interested in a televised sparring match between Malignaggi and McGregor hahahaha

Re: Deontay Wilder vs. Dominic Breazeale - May 18, 2019
Well I bet the people who voted for Brazeale feel a bit stupid now. I don’t get how Brazeale can approach Wilder up close looking for a left handed uppercut in the first round. Has he not seen any of Wilders fights? You can’t atand toe to toe with Wilder with your head all the way upright. Foolish m...

Re: Heavyweights : Tony Tucker vs. Ray Mercer
Mercer had a granite chin, that’s about all that saved him from being a journeyman. Tommy Morrison totally outclassed him and out powered him until he got caught. Luckily for him Tommy had a glass chin and Mercer had a granite one. Tucker would keep him at bay with a jab if he couldn’t land the KO.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Andy Ruiz Jr. - June 1, 2019
Honestly, a joke of a fight. Anthony Joshua is good for bringing in casuals to the sport and the casuals that see this match up are gonna be stunned at the size difference and the physical appearances of both fighters. Joshua’s profile will lower in their eyes for taking this fight. I predict Joshua...
