Re: Boxing monthly on the iPad

A question for Glyn and pardon my ignorance of these technical matters .

I was thinking of getting a KINDLE with , I hope , all that money my family will give me for Christmas . Would I be able to subscribe to BM via KINDLE or is it specific to the I Pad ?

Cheers .

Re: RIP Chris Finnegan

I was lucky enough to see Chris box in the 1967 London ABA's at Wembley .....with Cheryl cheering him on from ringside ! Chris won the ABA title that year but in 1968 lost a controversial verdict to a Welshman callled Alan Ball in the Final . Brother Kevin jumped in the ring during the following bou...

With Calvin Brock beating Etienne he's been left behind by a guy who was a fellow Sydney Olympian and one who toatlly bombed there .

I must say the Channel 5 boxing is really great .
Ok , for the most part its not elite level guys but they've had some excellent fighters on . And usually in competitive fights .
I know he's not everyones cup of tea but I always enjoy Teddy Atlas's analysis .

In truth it always seemed unlikely Hopkins would fight Eastman . Lets face it , Howard blew his big chance against Joppy and a guy like him is always going to only get one chance . He's not a Bruno who could chance after chance on the basis of him selling tickets . Incidentally , who is Randy Griffi...

As I recall the fight it was a case of Douglas being outboxed and exhausting himself rather than being hammered . Herol's punching power was decent though . Not sure if its right to call Douglas a slugger . He had decent skills . He was ABA champ 3 or 4 times . Maybe he stayed Amateur a bit too long...

Have to disagree about Reg Gutteridge . I thought he was the worst commentator on any sport I ever heard . He always said the same things fight after fight . If a guy threw a few left jabs he'd say :' He should be able to box a bit , he used to be good amateur ' Jim Watt's ok in the studio but he's ...

Amateur Boxing has its flaws but do you know what is great about it ? Assuming there's no upsets in the semi finals Amir will face the great man himself -- Kindelan -- in the final . We'll know if he's number 1 or not . Now if this was Pro Boxing as it is nowadays we'd hear 'Kindelan wants too much ...

Fantastic . Well done Amir . Hopefully he'll medal now .
It'll be great if he stays amateur till Beijing as he says . He could really re-generate some interest in amateur boxing in Britain .
Lets just hope some be-blazered bollox in the ABA doesn't end up pissing him off and causing him to turn pro .
