Re: Luke Campbell - World class?
Interesting to draw a comparison between Campbell and Frankie Gavin - big things expected of both following highly distinguished careers in the unpaid ranks, yet Campbell seems infinitely more likely to make it to the top of the pro game. No dramas with him, no issues outside the ring, no weight pro...

Re: British Heavyweight Division...
What about the less than capable non British opponents Joshua is fighting how are they aiding his career? AJ's had 12 fights against weak opposition (Price also fought a few poor imports early in his career) and is now moving on to a credible test. Though Joshua will be expected to win, I would exp...

Re: British Heavyweight Division...
I agree. As much as I'd like to see AJ measured against some of the domestic crop, I think going down the Lonsdale route harmed David Price. How did it harm David Price? He spent too long fighting fellow Brits of similar ability levels, rather than fighting more capable non-British HW opponents. Th...

Re: British Heavyweight Division...
I know it's a well-respected, traditional belt etc, but is there really any point AJ wasting time with the British title? Surely he's above fighting the likes of Sexton and McDermott. He's better off in these international fights for learning/experience and then going for the big names when he's re...

Danny looked very unsteady for most of that. But could still turn it on when he realised he was in with a total novice.

Re: SKY PPV financial question???
Here's a question: why did Sky stop doing PPV after the Haye v Harrison debacle? I suspect the decision was driven by credibility issues rather than financial. That being the case, it's odd that they would go down the PPV route for a domestic card that would typically be on Fight Night.

Really like John, underrated skills and no issues on conditioning. Seems to lack self-belief. Would love to see him back in the ring and active again.

Brilliant analysis, great contribution mate. Would be interesting to see if there were things Watson did in that fight that were effective and not entirely dealt with by McCallum - to give it some balance.

Re: Erick Ochieng Well and OK
And the way Jim Watt commentates in these situations is not good. I have to turn the sound off, he paints a very grim picture with no regard for friends and family watching at home. Glad Eric is well, skilled fighter who can do well given the right prep time etc. I thought Jim Watt was excellent wh...

Re: Price has left Booth already
People have mentioned Richard Towers in this thread. I was with Richard for a good few weeks and saw what he could do in some tough spars with top amateur Filip Hergovic, Alexander Dimitrenko, Marious Wach, Deontay Wilder and of course David Haye ... After having seen him knowing his top attitude, ...

Re: Trouble with Martin Murray lot again
I was at the Joshua debut - when Kevin Mitchell came on a bunch of about 20 p!ssed up lads came and sat right next to me clearly looking for trouble. They were singing West Ham songs (mainly the anti-semitic ones), standing up so no-one in the seats behind them could see, generally looking for agro....

Froch will win a rematch. McCracken will have him boxing more cautiously, sticking to his raiding tactics like against Bute and out manning GG in the later rounds.

Re: Towers toppled.
Towers seems to get a hell of a lot of credit for having done something appalling and then going on to become a mediocre boxer who no longer commits crimes. If something awful had happened to him and he'd gone on to turn his life around, I could understand all the praise. But given what he did, I fi...

Re: Danny Williams vs. Oleg Maskaev
Isn't there a story about these two sparring back in the day and Danny schooling Maskaev, who at the time was very highly rated?
Apparently Danny often looked world class in sparring away from the lights and cameras.

Personally I think the Paul should hang em up.He has clawed back his "dignity" and cemented the Smith Bros never to be repeated legacy. He is one of the best pundits Sky use and has a good respect from all in the game. No need risking his health. Let his brothers have there time and work ...
