Re: Ike Ibeabuchi ?

I'd hate to hijack this wonderful, and never brought up before thread... however... Anyone have any idea whats up with the former 2004 US Olympic boxer Roberto Benitez (didn't qualify for the games, but was top US at his weight)? http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=305319&cat=boxer He ...

Not sure where you are at but the coverage starts at 9:45 (eastern). They will show the Oscar/Mayorga replay and probably start the Hatton fight @ 10:30 pm (eastern).

Gonna be pretty late accross the atlantic.

Don't get me wrong... i wasn't implying that Bowe WAS scared, I was asking if that could be the case. Honestly i didn't follow boxing all that much in the early to mid 90's (I was under 16, and 27 now). Of course their Olympic bout would mean nothing 6 or so years later. I was just curious as to why...

Lennox Lewis vs. Riddick Bowe

My brother and I were taking a trip down memory lane and looking over Bowe's career (Olympics through today). Then the question came up... why didn't these two fight as pros? We couldn't remember anything that was written about it. I know they fought in the '88 Olympic finals, but nothing since then...

Hey guys... question...

Does this Bika guy pose any real thread to Beyer this weekend? I've never seen him fight and honestly know nothing about him at all. He seems to have decent power vs. questionable oposition.

Your thoughts?

Maybe, maybe not... his last 3 ko losses came to Jose Cotto, Steve Leuvano, and Daniel Seda... it took them all longer than 5 rounds to do it.

Everyone hear that??? Listen carefully!

Its the sound of me choking! I managed to drop from 2nd place (8 points back) to 6th place (48 points back) in just 2 weeks. Horrible! lol.

Good luck Steve!

Man, major choking for me this past weekend i guess. I thought my 80 points was actually pretty good... then I sign on and see it is 10 points below 10th place. Ugh, Steve gained 10 points on me and I fell into 3rd, 18 points back. Alex has had a great last 2 weeks to pull only 1 point behind me. :(...

I would have to say autographed stuff also because I am in the States. It would be pretty hard for me to get over there for a fight. But I'm not worried about it... i don't care about the prizes, i do it for the fun of it. If it is a fight in the UK, and i happen to somehow win, I will gladly give t...

I'm not sure why you guys are bitching... As #1, these matchups used to happen all the time in olden days. And #2, if Winky comes in at 154/155, Mayweather would probably come in around 148/149. Which means he could easily drop down to welter. For all those who complain about too many weight classe...

Actually the talk is that they will fight at light middle (154 lbs). I know its not that big of a difference to Winky, but it is to Floyd. I don't understand this either. I would totally back Floyd up in this if he has already beaten the "real" contenders at his current weight. But Ricky H...

Peter won the fight on points, but Shufford caused him all sorts of problems because he was able to box on the back foot. If you pepper Peter from the outside he's got no answer to it, somebody who has got good handspeed, good stamina and a decent defence will outbox Peter comfortably. Could it be ...
