Battle of USA Olympic Teammates
1976 Olympic Games (Montreal, Quebec, Canada): Can anyone envision a scenario where 1976 Olympic JWW gold medalist Ray Leonard (at his Olympic JWW or professional SMW/LHW pinnacle) can reasonably compete against (four weight divisions higher) 1976 Olympic LHW gold medalist Leon Spinks (at his Olympi...

‘Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better’.....
…..Inspired by ‘The Mosley Factor’ – a newly created 11-page, 15K plus word (including the now available ‘sticky notes’), fully illustrated/linked historical PDF file/document that encompasses over 120-year history of HW (and non-HW) paired cross-era bouts - for readers’ evaluation; not all matchup ...

Re: The Mosley Factor
::Sigh:: I can't tell if you're joking or not but the " A beats B and B beats C so A beats C " doesn't work with boxing . Frazier beat Ali and Ali beat Foreman . Does Frazier beat Foreman? No he gets thrashed. I would bet my liver that Mayweather would beat Forrest. Your examples are not ...

The Mosley Factor
2002: Undefeated, #1 pound-for-pound king and 2-division world champion, USA’s “Sugar” Shane Mosley loses back-to-back unanimous decisions (UD 12) to the eight months older, undefeated, future 2-division world champion, USA’s Vernon Forrest (who scores two knockdowns of Mosley – the first knockdowns...

Caught Cold: Classic/Historic First Round KO Losses…..
……that are either avenged or previously bested (or both). Most folks know about USA’s Jack Dempsey’s only career stoppage loss – a first round (caught cold) KO 1 loss to USA’s Fireman Jim Flynn (later avenged – KO 1) - but here are a few others not so well known. Note: Some still believe that the fi...

Historic Counterparts of 2013 Other Major Bouts?!.....
…..plus much, much more [a fully illustrated, 19 page, nearly 9K word text – one (if interested) may need to it read it in parts!?]. Remember, variety (included throughout) is essential – for many reasons. Bear in mind, also, that in professional gloved world championship boxing history, America (43...

Historical Repeat: Moore-Martinez & Mayweather Jr.-Alvarez?
A hot topic but from a historical perspective (remember, boxers can play multiple ‘roles’ within their careers)….. Saturday, September 12th 1953: 36 plus year-old reigning world champion and American Archie Moore becomes the first to defeat (PTS 10) the 12 years younger , 24 year-old Latin American ...

Re: 140 Years of Boxing History.....
It is not so much that boxer A defeats boxer B and so on but the fact that they are overcoming age, weight, etc. that infers a decline. You understand/accept this explanation (and other explanations are adequately presented) but the reasoning is flawed and weird? I must apologize to you (and others)...

Re: 140 Years of Boxing History.....
Step one/question one: Referring to the text "Great HW Decline"; is it adequately explained (and do you understand/accept) that - in the HW division (as shown from Liston to the Klitschko brothers) - there has been a consistent and significant decline? Step two/question two: Is it adequate...

Re: 140 Years of Boxing History.....
As with any general query, it is vital to analyze things multi-dimensionally; with regard to boxing, it is not merely height, weight and reach vs. height, weight and reach but also mind (neurology) vs. mind. Now, if the mental aspects are developed/enhanced/trained to a high enough level (as is the ...

Part II of the series: “Great Heavyweight Decline” – a ten page dossier. Prior to this next presentation, it is important to state and for one to try to understand that boxing/sports is merely a reflection of general society (throughout history) – many/most folks are competing, in some manner or res...

Re: 140 Years of Boxing History.....
Hello again - it's not just boxing but (substantively) virtually every field; however, it has become apparent (to me) that my previous posts have not made much an impact on the general viewers and this could be for many reasons - I am perhaps mostly to blame. As a side note, unless someone is signif...

Cross Era Stage 1 Secret Revealed First, I have been able to regain access to my site but it is in major disarray and I will need at least two more weeks (perhaps a month) to complete ‘repair’ (at that point, depending upon responses and other aspects, I may release the final data). Boxing/Sports Bonus Data: Past Elites are Better?
Just got back to ‘blog-world’ and some important issues to discuss (for those interested). First, my site has been tampered with (and this has to have been done internally) as only a couple of people even know of its location and it has consistently been under a lock; I have reported this issue to t...

Re: Early Prep of Past vs. Present
In honor of the “Macho Man” but with emotions aside, let’s try something new – Boxing Court of Law. In this ‘court’, fight videos or what anyone may have ‘seen’ (in person), is inadmissible. Why? Because one may be viewing something on a lower (or higher) level without realizing it and folks always,...

To HomicideHenry: Sorry to cut off and leave like that but I had an emergency to run and just now getting back. There are some important (and obvious) matters that I feel I must now address. First, more than 10 years ago, after nearly two decades of research, I first deciphered the cross-era 'secret...
