Wilfred seldom trained for fights - virtually none for Ray Leonard - so I don't think the short notice was an issue. Benitez was a better fighter, Bruce won the first even though he gassed and Benitez came on late. There was no demand for another fight and Benitez was moving up to 147.

Could have been one of the very best he had all of the physical tools and natural gifts. What a great man and character he was. He is missed.
