Re: How do you rate yourself?

The replies on this thread beg a question….

Why do we hang about on a forum for a sport we have waning interest in?

I’ve said before, I’m often more interested in discussing boxing than watching it.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Liam Smith | SKY PPV - 21 January 2023

Well if he loses then he has a rematch clause. Cannot personally believe how highly some people rate former IBO world champion Chris Eubank. He’s a very good fighter but will never breach world level. Size won’t be a huge factor. Both will likely weigh the same come fight night. You question what L...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Derek Chisora III | BT PPV - 3 December 2022

I looked. There’s probably less than a thousand on there. * it says there’s 888. I didn’t count them tbh… but I’ve never seen touts selling for under their face value for a “super fight”. It tells you at the bottom of the screen. Loads of fights people take a loss in the last few days. You need to ...

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | DAZN PPV - 8 October 2022

To me, Benn giving up his license is totally a PR motivated stunt. Hearn will push the content that Benn was never “actually suspended or stripped at any point” and when the WBC, or whoever else, give him a backdated ban of 12 months from the first test failure he will be back like nothing has happ...

Re: World Cup Fantasy Football

Think I might put even more money on the MAGNIFICENT England to win the world cup‼️ If you are in the fantasy league dont forget your transfers and substitutions Spud, I hope you win a fortune, but so far we've beaten two very poor teams. Wales were very poor. The Bale era is definitely over.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | DAZN PPV - 8 October 2022

The more points are discussed/debated on this matter the more people must think what a shambolic sport boxing is. When people from outside boxing clearly see The BBBofC are utterly powerless to deal with offenders. I disagree with the BBBofC stating they cannot deal with someone who has not got a l...

Let's hope that AJ's "sponsors" allow him to sign the contract without much trouble.
I think it will be alright as long as there are no fashion shows around that time.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | DAZN PPV - 8 October 2022

This is classic under the radar tactics. Keeping their heads down until the furore and outrage drops off. Then some announcement in the future that he is exonerated on a technicality. No one can be bothered to really challenge it because it was so long ago. It’s not like it hasn’t worked before.

Re: World Cup Fantasy Football

For instance, it appears you can bring on an unlocked substitute for a player that has already played (and get the new players points). That is not a hack, it’s normal for bringing in subs. For example the subs rule in this game is exactly the same as the champions league game. One of the reasons f...

Re: World Cup Fantasy Football

We should decide what constitutes a hack - as according to the help section there are several things you can do that are outside the realm of normal fantasy football. For instance, it appears you can bring on an unlocked substitute for a player that has already played (and get the new players points...

This fight doesn't sell in UK. Going to be very hard to put the fight on here and turn a profit IMO. I’m not sure about that mate. Paul has a lot of UK followers. Fury doesn’t do bad on that score, but don’t forget that his partner is huge on socials. I hate to say it, but think it would be a big e...

I agree with all of the above. Another similar one is the Commonwealth title which is seen as below the British title, which doesn't make sense. I think Frank fooked it up when he bought the organisations and used the titles to get his fighters hand picked defences I don’t mind the Commonwealth, bu...

Re: Thoughts on the EBU belt?

I used to love it. Someone mentioned Hennessy above. Howard Eastman had it with Mick. The belt was designed for someone like him. A real boss at that level. I liked that Wayne Alexander had it as well. For me, it was far more prestigious than fake World titles. I believe Frochy wanted to take the t...
