Re: Jeremiah Milton US Heavyweight April 10th
I think Milton vs Sonny Conto would be a perfect fight for both. Winner goes up to the next level. I can't complain on the opponent tonight. His 5th fight this year, plus on the undercard of a PPV show. If they are just trying to get him back in the ring fast and the promoter is being thrifty on the...

Train keeps rolling along.
2023 will be a career defining year for Milton's trajectory I think, for either good or bad.

Re: Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Roman Gonzalez III | DAZN - December 3, 2022
I don't need to see a 4th fight. Gonzo.. clearly won fights one and two for me, there honestly was no need for a third.
Tonight I had no issue if Estrada won razor thin, SD, 115-1113 scores. 116-112 seemed too wide. A draw seemed very fair tonight.

Re: Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva | Showtime PPV - October 29, 2022
well you already have him beating 'many' guys on page 2, so how far off do you think he could be? if you really think that, i'd take it that you believe on ability he probably is at least a top 75 cruiser in the world, despite having only fought 1 guy who actually had a boxing match, amateur or pro...

Re: Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva | Showtime PPV - October 29, 2022
I don't think anybody here is saying Paul is a great fighter or has beaten top opponents. The fact still remains that he would be blowing the doors off from opponents that a guy with no AMs experience, having only a handful of fights would be facing. Any other fighter not him would be facing guys 2...

Re: Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva | Showtime PPV - October 29, 2022
As much as I think boxing already has too many belts and "champions", I do think they could use a division after 175. Make it 176 to 185 and call it whatever, but I knew a few guys in the gym who were in-betweeners. Too small for CW, but would struggle to make light heavy. As for Paul, I d...

Re: Jeremiah Milton US Heavyweight April 10th
Milton won by a KO in the opening few seconds of the 5th round. Sumpter didn't try to engage a ton and was moving around awkwardly. I thought Milton displayed good patience and power in the fight, plus a solid jab.CMCanavessi wrote: ↑30 Oct 2022, 01:40 So did he fight today? How did that go? Boxer has nothing still.

Re: Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva | Showtime PPV - October 29, 2022
I had Paul winning 5-3, plus that knockdown. Honestly it was a fun and great fight, for what it was. Paul would bury the actual boxers he should be fighting at this point of his career, if his name wasn't Jake Paul. He brings attention to the sport and wants to help fighters get better pay and long...

Re: Jeremiah Milton US Heavyweight April 10th
Nice ending to an awkward style opponent tonight.
Heard a few things are going to be lined up for next year. Interested to see what happens for Milton in 2023. Could be a make or break year for him.

Re: The ol' betting for the week thread
G3 looked old as I imagined. I didn't expect Canelo to look a little worn down to. After looking at his last few fights, he might be on the decline as well.
At least the pod had some winning picks and ideas on it, ha!

PPV is upon us tonight, should be a great overall card! Catch the latest podcast for some leans for tonight's betting action. What I played myself: Canelo/G3 doesn't go the distance at +130 Conway +350 My thinking here, you can grab the under right now at +170 at 10.5 rounds, leaving you better valu...

Re: Jose Pedraza vs. Richard Commey | ESPN - August 27, 2022
I had Pedraza winning 96-94, but can't complain on the draw. Not sure where either guy goes next, especially Commey. They can rematch in the 12-rounder. I suppose, but I think both guys should just move on. I don't think the public will be screaming for a rematch. It was a solid fight, nothing more...
