Re: Sykes out of campbell fight
Julian McGowan is one of the most astute trainers I've seen in the gym and he's taken Sykes all the way from the amateurs to two British titles. The reason people think he is inexperienced is because they don't know of him. Some trainers have massive egos and sound good, but are overrated. Ones lik...

Re: Gyms in Bedford for Under 16s
Hi all, Got my son interested in looking at a boxing gym. More to keep fit and for self defense as opposed to serious/competitive at this stage. He is literally just turned 14. Anybody able to recommend any where for him to try out? Obviously if he decides to become competitive I know he will need ...

Re: Next Matchroom PPV set for 28th March 2015?
SKY’s next PPV event looks set to be on the 28th March, and it will be a huge double header. Kell Brook will be defending his IBF title against Jo Jo Dan in Sheffield, with a stacked undercard. Then it’s over to the MGM Grand Garden in Vegas for Froch Vs. Chaves, McDonnell Vs. Kameda and Burns Vs. ...

Re: Black Flash Promotions
I was wondering and made this point on another thread, I am genuinely interested. 1: when was the last time a small hall promoter/manager's fighter boxed for world title or won it? 2: does anyone know if any of th small hall promotional organisations have made an annual profit in their accounts? It...

Re: Who should Eubank Jr fight next?
Whomever. I think that the best option for him is to get his next fight sanctioned for the Lonsdale Belt. Saunders will have to drop it when he fights for a World Title. And should Chris win that British Title, he could use his three defenses as an education before he moves up. Hi pal why would sau...

Re: UK ticket sellers
Smith? Really? I heard Mitchell Smith sold 1200 tickets for Saturdays show, pretty impressive for someone that has only had 10 professional fights with no real publicity outside of allegedly. Think it was Buglioni that sold 1,200, Smith's a good ticket seller, but I don't think he sells that many, ...

It's not the standard face of a man who just lost a fight 8-2 to be fair. Did i see ronnie say he got a point deduction? So 98-93 gives him a couple shared rounds i suppose. https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/10410701_727305183991895_8061616707078912936_n.jpg?oh=177ac38...

Re: Will You Be Buying The Cleverly vs Bellew II PPV?
Apologies if this has been mentioned here already as I have not read every single post. One large point seems to be missed by Hearn who thinks he has a finger on the pulse and knows dynamics and how it all works. He often bangs on about casuals and hardcore fans and says that it is only the hardcor...

If he doesn't fight him at sfw he won't do it at lightweight, for me I think gary will move up and win a british at that weight also, sykes for me having spoke on Twitter etc won't refuse a fight, he looked really drained against kays but hopefully he does make the weight better if walsh does come ...

He's closer to 10 stone than he is to making the 9"4 limit anyways, he can't make the weight, I like walsh but getting him in the ring is a mission for whatever reason, all walsh brothers don't stay active! That crash didn't happen, and from what I hear he picks his opponents, refuses everyone...

Its great seeing all the lads come through in Yorkshire. I've watched some of these since they were schoolboys. Hull and Leeds are thriving at the moment. Who would you recommend from Leeds area to keep an eye on in ams with a view to them turning over MC Lowther. Jimmy Lowther's son, he broke into...
