Re: How to beat GGG

GGG is the No. 1 P4P boxer in the world. He won the IBF and the WBA and is interim WBC and IBO champion. WBO champ Saunders said he would not fight him and Alvarez is putting off the title fight with GGG until next year.

Re: GGG vs Kovalev Will Happen

Kovalev and Ward will happen if Stevenson doesn't come first for either one. GGG can go down to 154 or up to 168 but not 175. This fight should not happen. There are not enough good fighters out there to headline. When Mosley and De la Hoya fought it hurt both of them because they were the best two ...

Three names in scanning the list. One for sure. Thomas Povlsen 2-0 from Aarhus Denmark turned pro 2006 under Team Palle. Ionut George. Closest is Jo Jo Dan ION Rom/Can 16-0-1, possibly a cousin. Jimmy Moore of Ireland could be James Moore fighting out of NY, USA. 7-0 under the McLoughlin Brothers of...

Understand he had 125 amatuer fights. Guess what? He still fights like one after 13 pro fights. His poor imitation of Roy Jones, Jr. will get him killed against a power puncher. He has been fed a bunch of stiffs. #160 to his #168 Darnell Boone on 3 days notice made him look foolish 6/23/06 in Montre...

Jeff Lacy amatuer record

As you can see he lost to Arthur Palac 2x and robbed him in box off 10-9 a fight I saw. Lacy should never had gone to olympics. Palac a tall southpaw had the ideal style to deal with Europeans.

Marvis Frazier amatuer record

I saw live Frazier against Big John Owens at the Blue Horizon. He got a gift that night. He was a novice. Would have been a good cruiser. Trained so hard Georgie Benton had to tell him to go home. Was a standout through 9th grade at PW in all sports including wrestling. His dad should never had let ...

Tall, white and in your face with that southpaw jab. Had Lacy's number. Should have gone to olympics. Would have fared better than Lacy I'm sure. He had that ideal amatuer style to contend with the Europeans.

I understand Percy was a Marine from Philly. Ali, then Cassius Clay won titles in AAU and Golden Gloves. One at 178 and the other at heavyweight. Figuring they could get two gold medals Clay dropped down to 178. Clay/Ali always had trouble with southpaws. He ends up fighting a Pole southpaw in winni...

Kent Green of Chicago was one of 7 or 8 times Ali was beaten in amatuers by stoppage. Amos Johnson of Akron, Jimmy Ellis, Louisville and an Australian Tony Esperti? Got that wrong I am sure. Does anyone have pro record of 1976 Olympic representative Chuck Walker?

He was an amatuer champion from Mesa, AZ. After turning pro eventually moved to Houston, TX. under management of Abercrombe.

Only half a dozen of his fights are shown on Box Rec. He had to have over 20 bouts.

Arthur Palac, Hamtramck, Michigan amatuer

How many people saw Arthur Palac in the 2000 Olympic Box-Off beat Jeff Lacy and get robbed? This would have been the 3rd straight win over Lacy. Had beat Lacy for 1999 US Championship. He also had wins over Randy Griffin, Julius Fogel and Jerson Ravelo (split). Unfortunately after last Lacy fight he...
