The KO% counter in a boxer's page should only count the % based on his wins, not all of his bouts.
A 20-20 boxer with 18 KOs would've had a power puncher reputation, but will be listed as <50% KO rate on his page.

Yeah, the one that's happening soon is the second round.
This is the first round, happened two weeks ago. http://boxrec.com/show/738617
They use heavier gloves to prevent injuries.

Re: Olympics-Pro boxers who compete in Rio will lose titles-IBF
tbh I don't really understand about these 'injury risk' concerns. All the amateurs that are sent in the tournament are top amateurs and far above from the average amateurs. If those guys turn pro, they'll probably be above average pros. Besides, mismatches often happen in pro as 'tune-ups'. Serious ...

Well, that's completely possible, since I can easily imagine in most cases the fighter just consume whatever his team said since he himself won't know much about the detailsPerseus wrote:None of them knew they were cheating.

Yes, WBC is corrupt for not letting the multi-million-purse fight happen that could get them lots of sanctioning fee

Re: Promoters should always attempt to drug the visiting boxer, no repercussions at all for doing so
Really? Who got caught for it? I haven't heard of that actually, just some random anonymous people or stakeholders suggesting it. Oh sorry, misinterpreted you, thought you was talking about 'Browne got caught drugging' But well, that's the thing, how would you gonna get caught if you do it in the f...

Even if he isn't clean, it's certainly not by taking Clenbuterol right before the fight, cause that won't do any good at all for him.ikorolev wrote:Browne could have been drugged, but it doesn't mean that he was clean. He certainly looked way too durable and energetic for a clean fighter.

Re: Promoters should always attempt to drug the visiting boxer, no repercussions at all for doing so
I find this thread puerile. Who in their right mind would condone the taking or administering of banned substances especially without the affected persons knowledge!? But it (probably) already happened, and Chagaev's team loses nothing from doing it, so why not always do it if you can? Of course th...

Re: Promoters should always attempt to drug the visiting boxer, no repercussions at all for doing so
Chagaev's team lost a title actually They would've lost it whether Browne is drugged or not. But with Browne being drugged (intentionally or not), there's a chance they could escape with a no contest and possibly get their title back Well it wasn't like Browne was that dominating at all anyway. Cha...

If the visiting boxer can somehow avoid it, the hometown boxer's team loses nothing
If the visiting boxer got caught, then the hometown boxer will have his loss nullified
So, why not always doing it? Browne got punished when it's obvious he's innocent, and Chagaev's team didn't lose anything

Boxing is major sport in Indonesia? lol wtf I'm Indonesian, and boxing is hardly known here. In fact, the pro boxing activity is dying right now. Last year, the regular televised show is shut down and only a little amount of pro boxing card is done throughout the year. It used to be bigger long tim...
