Barry, I just realized my error. I don't want to communicate with Jack Lalor, of course, I hope to communicate with the New Zealand historian.

Thanks for the reply. If that's the case you have probably run across Jack Weday and a lot of the boxers he met. I've been looking at microfilm of the LA Times and Commercial Advertiser - Honolulu for info. I now might start in on the Salt Lake City Tribune where Jack may have been for 1898 and 1899...
