Duran had shipped serious punishment before Hearns' shot landed.

De Jesus was a fantastic fighter, He had a great run from around 72-75

Re: Round-by-Round: Liam Davies vs. Ionut Baluta | BT Sport - 19 November 2022

Thought Wainright won 96-94. But no argument in the decison.

Yarde was clearly a weight class or two above his opponent.

Re: The cold shadow of a recession - Joules goes into administration

I think we've been in a recession for 6 months. But I don't see it as a 2008 meltdown. More like 2001/2.

Re: The new era

I think if we took away the HWs we'd be in a fallow period now. There's a lot of talent at 175 but the guys need to face one another. Can't talk about potential any more. Time to put the gloves on. The Benn saga is not much of a big deal to me. Look how every Olympic athlete has TUEs for asthma etc....

Re: RJJ at Heavy

No it woudn't. It would, Teddy, Promise. Stop being silly. Jones stops Dempsey probably with a left hook to the body then head after softening him up during the rest of the bout. Dempsey better hope that the wind from his punches knocks Roy out because that's all he'll be hitting him with. That's a...

Re: RJJ at Heavy

I see chronological snobbery once again rears its ugly head here on the forum. Roy Jones was never a serious heavyweight. Which is why he hand-picked John Ruiz who was the weakest link in the chain in that horrible era where Chris Byrd was second best to Lennox Lewis. Had the referee allowed John R...

Re: Anthony Joshua …. Have We Seen The Best of Him

suspect he will at some point win back at least a portion of the title. Eddie will be doing everything in his power to do that, but I'd favour Usyk, Fury and Joyce over him, with Wilder as a 50/50 shoot-out. Would favour him over Dubois though Not arguing on your comments. Just that you don't alway...

Re: Anthony Joshua …. Have We Seen The Best of Him

I like Joshua. And I rate him highly. He was an excellent champion who took on all-comers. But he was lucky to win the gold medal. Savon clearly beat him. But everything came to him after he won that. Compare his road to Joyce's who should have won gold but didn't. I hope AJ still has the fire. Ther...

no chance against soaking weight 165 pound bob fitz? willard? neon leon? rahman?
Without the juice Fitz sparks him. Maybe even with the juice. Don't see Jones going 45 rounds with Willard. Rahman needs just one right hand.,

Re: The Top 100 Greatest Boxers Pound per Pound of All-Time

Well, thanks for your responses. In the two Marco Antonio Barrera fights with Rocky Juarez, were totally different. The first fight, was very entertaining with lots of action. Not too much to say about the second one. The fault was Juarez' in my opinion. He should have attack much more and more oft...

Re: Haye vs Chisora in Hindsight

Haye could definitely punch, and was probably at his peak at that time physically. Probably his best performance at heavyweight. I agree, and probably one of the best performances at HW in the whole (mostly barren) decade. Haye was always up against it at heavyweight, he wasn't a naturally huge guy...

Re: Most Powerful Punchers

Good stuff. For pure power, I'd probably move Cuevas up. His left hook was concussive. Also, for pure power, I'd recommend two great Argentines, Jorge "Locomotora" Castro and Julio Cesar Vazquez, who were big-time hitters who could turn fights in one punch. Monster Inoue certainly deserve...
