Re: Allegedly wins latest court battle against Burns
One thing I can't get my head round with Ricky Burns. The guy earned £160k for fighting Mitchell. We could call that about $250k. That's more than both Lee and Korabov earned on Saturday. To me Burns was getting magnificent money relative to his ability and the calibre of opponent. Why would anyone...

Hearn has said on twitter today that brook has signed the contract. They are are waiting on confirmation of the date - with the 9th of August likely.

Re: Warren Letter to Galloway on Racist Morrison
The whole thing is bizarre. Burns would definitely not endorse these comments and to be honest I don't believe Alex Morrison would be so stupid to commit this to paper either. Somebody in Morrisons office is now between a brick and a hard place. Why the no comment to the press then ? If it was not ...

Re: Warren Letter to Galloway on Racist Morrison
Clearly a fake. Rickys from Coatbridge - there's no way he'd proclaim "god save the queen"...
Seriously though, if FW, or whoever, has forged the signature then they're in a whole heap of bother.
Would you put it past him?

Re: allegedly goes HD
I do manual record now and add on 2 or 3 hours! Been caught out too many times. I tweeted Bunce about it and how poor it was - only to get told everyone knows it happens and I should be setting manual record, like it was my fault. You'd think given the length of time the channel's been running that ...

Re: Matchroom confirm Burns v crawford in feb 14
I've read it's either the 8th or 22nd of Feb. Hearns tweet says date to be confirmed - the 14th is a Friday by the way.
Good opportunity for Ricky to make a statement here with some American interest. Tough fight though.

Re: Is Carl Froch an Arrogant Asshole?
I actually like Carl Froch. But of course he is an arrogant asshole. He always has been though. Nothing's changed. I'm surprised at the reaction to him on Saturday to be fair, he's never hid the fact he's a total fanny

Looks like its true. Seems to breaking now. Decision made on Wednesday night from what I read.
What a disaster for him. Absolute shambles.

Does this impact Warrren trying to sue Ricky Burns? Not that I believe there's much of a case there!

Froch said during that interview that it would be PPV[/quote]
I saw that but the bit immediately after the presenter referred to it being on sky sports. I'm not sure it's actually been decided yet. Appreciate Froch said PPV but I wonder if he's just assuming.

Re: Froch v Groves PPV
It doesn't fit hearns PPV criteria so it shouldn't be PPV. Froch has probably just assumed because his last fight was this one will be. Realistically the Bute fight was bigger so you can't put this PPV with Groves standing. Had he took a belt of Steiglitz of Bika 1st you could of had an arguement. ...

Re: Does anyone think Hennessey will.....
I just hope it has a god support bill & they dont just take us who have bought tickets as mugs. In one of iFilms interviews from yesterday Hearn said the undercard will be 50% hennessey and 50% Hayemaker (Matchroom will provide these). He mentioned Scott Quigg then said that might be deserving ...

Probably should've added that's what I've been told by someone who works for Sky! Certainly not Jim White!Newport Daz wrote:You're not Jim White are you?airdrie diamond wrote:Apparently it's around the 300k mark (thats the word doing the rounds in Sky anyway)DD

Re: BT Sport
Hopefully it won't. I already pay whatever it is for sky sports and a tenner a month for allegedly. I don't want to pay another £15 a month for BT. Fair enough if it absorbs allegedly but paying for multiple channels isn't a good thing!

Re: Ricky Burns moves to Matchroom
I just don't see how this works. How do you just "walk" away from Frank W@rren and his promotional contract? Elsewhere on this site someone posted a link to a Frank quote where as far as he's concerned the fight with Vazquez is on for April and he expects Burns to be in the other corner. ...
