Both Jack Sharkey and Max Baer have had books published recently on them.

Re: Why Adam J. Pollack stop writting In the Ring Series?
Last I heard he was taking a well-earned break from writing, not sure for how long though. His work as a lawyer and boxing referee would be time-consuming. The problem he faces is that as he goes through the champions writing (perhaps) the definitive book on each man, he starts to enter the realm of...

Re: Promoter Peltz Recalls the Late Gene Fullmer
Thank you for sharing this.
Fullmer was double tough, never a pretty fighter to watch but I reckon his opponents would not have looked forward to meeting him in the ring, they knew that a hard night awaited them win, lose or draw.

Re: Jones Jnr/ Green undercard... who should feature?
Is it bigger than the Kostya Tszyu vs Jesse James Leija fight? Dont quite get what you mean, will it be bigger or are you asking is it bigger? I was thinking that the Kostya fight was the biggest since Jack Johnson in 1910 and that although Jones Jr vs Green will be big, I think the Kostya fight wa...

Re: Boxing writer thinks kessler is too slow for ward
Ward is very, very good. 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist and undefeated.
Admittedly he is fairly untested with only a lopsided points win over Edison Miranda to his credit but don't think that he will be an easy beat. Who has Kessler beaten?

Re: Edouard Vs Mundine
Edouard was KO'ed by Jermaine Taylor in Taylor's last fight before fighting Hopkins and he also had a fight of the year candidate against Willie Gibbs on Friday Night Fights which was an all action slugfest.
Mundine is against a good guy here.

Any books on Henry Armstrong?
I have just read his autobiography Gloves, Glory and God and while it is was ok, I was hoping for a more comprehensive book on him.
Does anyone know of any?

Ken Norton fought Ali three times and while he made 1 - 2 against him, after watching all three fights, you would be hard pressed to say that Ali dominated his two wins and even more, you could give both losses as wins to Norton as they were that close. Marciano didn't face the opposition that Norto...

Muhammad Ali UD Marciano. Too slick, too big, too fast. George Foreman KO Marciano - Assuming the early 1970's Foreman. Too powerful. Lennox Lewis UD Marciano - Size matters. What tactics can he use for that? Most people though he'd have the experiance to Handle Hatton'spressure yet he didn't know what the hell to do. Kostya is a thinking man's boxer in that he is a good preparer. He knows that his tactics against Hatton were not good enough so would be planning a new a...

I remember reading that Cus D'Amato always told Tyson that Foreman would have killed Tyson in the ring. The power of George was one thing but it was the height that would have given Mike grief. I think George would have been difficult for any boxer to beat and that he should have destroyed Ali in Za...
