When Chris Eubank fought in Glasgow in 1992 I went to one of his training sessions & Chris Pyatt was his sparring partner, the two of them really went at it, the action was better than some fights! so much so that Ronnie Davies had to stop the session & tell Eubank to calm down as it was get...

I wouldn't fancy my chances in a scrap with the big guy! The Hide/Harrison incident you mentioned, that was just some daft bint trying to get aggressive with Herbie Hide (How stupid do you have to be!) he pushed her away which sparked a bit of a brawl but I don't know exactly what happened as it was...

 That's right he was standing directly in front of me when the McIntyre and Wright fans were getting a bit rowdy, any time the crowd were getting restless Negus and another big skinhead bloke would appear as if to say 'oi behave!'

The knockout punch was pretty much out of the blue, I wasn't expecting an early ko if one at all, I saw the ko highlight on tv when I got back & it didn't look as good a punch as it did in the arena, cracking left hand and McIntyre was well out of it. I have to give Wright's fans credit too, the...

Minter has done commentating in the past, I remember him from some 80's fights so he's probably a bit rusty, Holdsworth said Minter had a cold, I thought he'd downed a few beers before going on air! It wasn't a bad show & I thought Froch came across as a knowledgable guy who knows his stuff, was...

I have the old collection on video as well, If the quality of these new dvd's was any good I'd probably get some more, they were supposed to be digitally enhanced but my video versions from years ago are better quality than these so I don't think I'll bother.

Anderson mandatory

From Scottish Boxing: Commonwealth Welterweight Champion Kevin Anderson has been told by the Commonwealth Boxing Council that he must fight either Joshua Okine who he took the title from at the end of last month or Namibia’s Ali Numembe when making his first mandatory defence. Okine and Numembe will...

Barrera showed the way to beat Naseem is to make him be the aggressor as he wasn't really comfortable doing that, attacking fighters play into Naz' hands however so McGuigan being just that would have to walk through some amount of heavy leather before he got his shots in (Though Barry had quite a l...

I don't remember all the details but I remember Ryan getting caught and his legs were all over the shop, think the commentators said Palomino wasn't a big puncher & was from a weight class or two below Ryan and that was what was alarming about him getting so badly shook up :box:

I always thought Walker should have stayed at welter (He started at 140 didn't he?) he just doesn't seem to be able to handle the bigger guys punches and I was surprised to see he's 29 I thought he was younger than that, a bit late in the day to start adjusting his style now so at a certain level he...

It does get you thinking & with the news that Wayne McCullough is planning to continue fighting I hope someone saves him from himself.
