Re: Has allegedly threatened ifilm London with legal action
I think Kugan came off as a bit of a trouble maker in that interview to be honest, there were so many questions he could of asked Hearn, how about insight into his time working with Bruno, Benn, Eubank, Hide, etc., events surrounding the Michael Watson / Eubank fight, where he see's the Prizefighter...

Re: Allegedly channel teaming up with Maloney and Hatton.
This is great for British boxing and some British boxing promoters no doubt, I've been subscribed pretty much since the beginning so it will be great to see more live boxing on the channel, rather than endless repeats of November 2012 etc. I've always said it's a flawed concept which will never get ...

Re: WBU titles on Unlicensed shows ??
Mind you the WBU ceased to exist in 2009 so its plausible There are 2 WBU organisations now, one owned by Moose Lewis (think that's his name) the other owned by I believe a German company - from what I've seen it's the German organisation sanctioning the belt for unlicensed shows. Seems a strange m...

Re: Decent boxers turned Journeymen?
Just read the Nobby nobbs boxers thread and remembered the Ramsey brothers who were good amateurs who turned journeymen. Which got me thinking what boxers are there that do it nowadays(as in good amateurs/good pros turned journeymen) I know decent amateurs that turn pro have ambition and pride and ...

Re: Warren Wins BJS v Ryder Purse Bid
As per Joe Gallaghers twitter. Joe Gallagher @gallaghersgym Warren wins purse bids for BJS vs Ryder Big surprise. Hope the fighters end up with more money, otherwise its a dick move. I'll be amazed if this fight happens. Feel bad for the boxers when the promoters are more interested in comparing wh...

Re: Kugan Casius - Please ask these questions
Eddie, Now that you've cornered the market on 'one night' tournament boxing can you create tag team boxing, with the first fight being Warren and Bunce vs Kugan and Eddie, and if so, who wins and why? What tactics would you employ? Note: Kugan, don't actually say 'Kugan and Eddie' you need to say 'm...

Re: The Official Audley comeback thread
Rogan seems to get a pretty tough time from boxing fans (not sure why?), I've always found him pretty exciting to watch, normally tries hard, and has achieved quite a bit from nowhere really. Don't know what the Rogan v Fury fight has to do with anything? Fury is arguably top 5 in the world so no s...

Re: The Official Audley comeback thread
Rogan was finished going into prizefighter. Fighters age at different times. He looked really old and slow against Fury and was beaten pretty easily. Rogan stopped a decent fighter in Sosnowski in the PF quarterfinals and I thought he did ok against Fury; he won 2 more rounds against Fury than he d...

Re: IBF World title fight in London this July!
Stephen Ormond? was he not promoted by allegedly ? good for womens boxing in the uk to have a world title here :TU: I believe Ormond is no long with FW. What's a bigger shift is that the IBF are effectively backing a GBA show in the UK. I saw this yesterday - still a while before the show so I'm su...

Re: The Official Audley comeback thread
I dont know if your being sarcastic Horse but i do geniunly believe Audley Harrison has the style and the brain to dominate Dereck Chisora Chisora doesn't have the power likely to destroy Harrison early like Haye, Price and Wilder. It is not a fight that suits Chisora. So Chisora doesn't hit hard e...

Well Lucas Browne has the WBF and who knows if the fight with Towers is going to fall apart. Can't see a UK promoter stumping up the cash to bring him back, oh wait, does Chisora have an opponent yet?tear up wrote:Short retirement hell win a world title now

The Official Audley comeback thread
Okay, I really didn't think he'd do this but he is coming back - presumably had a decent offer because he can't be serious about doing it all again?! Recently retired Olympic Gold Medalist Audley Harrison has announced his return to the ring immediately. Having announced his retirement on May 1st fo...

Re: Time to end Prizefighter?
I can't believe the amount of money they throw at it. The Matchroom website confirms each show has a total prize fund of £80,000. That means over 6 shows Matchroom are offering a total prize fund of £480,000. I just think there are better shows that Matchroom could be putting on for that type of mo...

Re: Time to end Prizefighter?
and if there were a sensible amount of genuine cards shown then I wager most would prefer to watch those than the PF. No, Sky TV have tried that, didn't work, ratings were falling and Prizefighter showed that dressed up in the right way the average punter will still watch a boxing show, even with n...

Re: Time to end Prizefighter?
Yes Eddie should bin Prizefighter, the best known boxing brand in the country, the only small hall show watched by the average punter, and probably the one cert to always make them money. Re: Loaded Tv Pull plug on boxing
It wouldn't surprise me to see the Sky EPG on the market in the next 6 months. They built a channel for men, which mainly has a load of women chatting about rubbish - what man wants to watch that? Might be different if the women had a braincell between them, but I don't want to watch it and my miss...

Re: Calzaghe vs Ward - Who wins?
Quite possibly not - he didn't even want to face Lacy, and had to be talked into it, and never wanted to give Reid a rematch. Calzaghe didn't like counterpunchers, and Ward is one of the best. I don't think we've even seen the best of Ward yet, he's barely been tested - and he's still improving. Wh...

Re: Saunders vs Ryder (and EBU fight for Prince Arron)
Anybody know why it's gone back out to purse bids? Go on Bunce's Twitter, bit of a tiff with Eddie Hearn, slagged off Kugan for no reason, pretty funny stuff. I like Bunce but he does seem a little bitter. As for this fight, someone complained about the way the forms were filled in or something, so...
