I think Fury and AJ not having a signed and announced bout is the biggest problem. Everyone else stays available to jump in on the big payday, if the AJ-Fury fight is declared dead. Even Usyk is waiting for the opportunity to make a Fury trilogy, although it looked like it was an open secret that he...

Hrgovic only has 3/4 notable fights, because he was avoided throughout his career. Strong contender with lack of marketability. So his only path to a championship was the IBF, the only org that will really enforce mandatories. His only loss was to Dubois. And he won 4 out of 7 rounds on the scorecar...

Hrgovic to #4
Itauma stays #11

I think no one agrees with the ranking. That’s the point of it. You get moved by average/median opinion after a match happened. That way the ranking just grew organically over the years. The problem is, that there isn’t much movement because of low activity and lack of meaningful matches between the...

Fury drops to #11
Joshua enters at #15
Sirenko stays out

Gassiev 14
Suslenkov 15

Usyk - 1
Sanchez - 9
Rico - 10
Torrez - 15

The problem with Fury is, that his biggest wins (and the draw) didn’t age well. Wilder is washed und gone - not a part of our top 15. Beating Klitschko 20 years ago und Fury’s story and personality don’t matter. He beat Chisora twice and lost to Usyk twice. So he should be ranked somewhere between 2...

Hrgovic to 6
Itauma to 12

Ajagba to #9
Bakole to #10

Parker to #2
Kabayel to #3
Zhang to #10
Bakole to #11

Fury out
Sanchez out

As long as Mahmoud Charr holds the WBA heavyweight “World Champion” belt, no one should recognize the existence of the WBA or anything related with them.
I’m supporting boxrec in this regard, even if they do it for the wrong reasons.

Dubois to #3
Joshua to #9

Bakole 8
Anderson Out
Miller 14
Ruiz 15
Joyce Out

#6 Zhang
#7 Dubios
#8 Hrgovic
#15 Wilder

Usyk 1
Fury 4

Should’ve been a TKO in R9.

Anderson #12
Ajagba #15

There is only one reason why this matchup isn’t on the Fury Usyk 1 undercard .
The vacant IBF belt will probably be on the line.

Usyk - Hrgovic won’t happen this year. (Unless Fury pulles out of the title unification) In the Usyk/Fury - Helwani interview yesterday Turki Al-Sheikh talked about the plans for the rest of the year: - If Ngannou wins he would probable do MMA till Fury and Usyk have fought 2 times. - If AJ wins he ...

In my opinion there are ~15 guys I would consider voting in after beating a solid opponent. (sorted by age) Huni 24 Wardley 29 Jalolov 29 Franklin 30 Gassiev 30 Makhmudov 34 Ruiz 34 Hunter 35 Whyte 35 Ngannou 37 Chisora 40 Helenius 40 Pulev 42 Takam 43 Ortiz 44 With the exception of the 40+ aged one...

Playing devil's advocate We have Wilder at #12 who was similarly delisted by us due to inactivity and whose last performance I could only describe as "anti-boxing" it was so bad There are other people who are ranked with worse resumes than Ortiz and wouldn't be guaranteed to beat him. Ort...

If Fury wins next month and vacates all belts, this is for the real WBA world championship. Pulev needs to win this. He will be 43 in may and will cash in soon to defend the belt. So it will end up with someone who is an actual contender sooner than later. If Charr keeps it, he might avoid defending...
