Re: UKAD clears Dillian Whyte - charges dropped!

OK then... There’s no mention of contamination or B-sample testing in that quote, is there? The main assertions in your previous post about the UKAD/Whyte situation refer directly to the existence of alleged rules about contamination and B-sample testing, but you can’t qualify your claims can you? :...

You've just done exactly what I said there, EO, and then gone a bit further.

Re: UKAD clears Dillian Whyte - charges dropped!

Whyte declined the opportunity to have his B sample tested. Under UKAD rules, contamination is not considered an acceptable defence. Have you read UKAD’s rules? If you want to challenge me on my assertions about Dillian Whyte’s situation and UKAD’s rules, without performing research, then please do...

I'm not totally surprised by the split, just by the timing. Wondering if this will impact the rematch in February. Anyone know who Sugar HIll Steward works with of note? A(hole) Dirrell. Or was co-trainer :maybe: Adonis Stevenson, too. I think Fury did a few training sessions at Kronk years ago, wh...

Re: UKAD clears Dillian Whyte - charges dropped!

WHYTE tested positive for DIANABOL & the B sample was never tested. According to UKAD’s very own rules, Dillian Whytes’s B-sample would only have ever been tested after they had actually charged him with an offence - not beforehand . There’s no conspiracy, because UKAD’s rules about this proces...

There are far worse characters in boxing. Being loud and obnoxious aren't that bad, in the grand scheme of things.

what is actually "an isolated contamination event"?..sounds like they created a convenient excuse and a precedent for any future doper... Unless they're trying to say dianabol was already in the cup Whyte pissed into, which is ridiculous, then it shouldn't matter. Contamination = guilt, a...

Re: UKAD clears Dillian Whyte - charges dropped!

A couple of things I don't really understand: "In light of the above points, the trace amounts of metabolites found in the 20 June 2019 sample are consistent with an isolated contamination event, and they are not suggestive of doping." Readily available information on dianabol, states it h...

Usyk has been ordered by the WBA, to take place within 180 days. If rumours from a month or two are correct, the IBF will also order Pulev.

It's definitely one of those next.

He had 6 months to train properly, for a fight that could have proved the first was no fluke, and make himself a superstar.

If he really didn't train properly, he's an idiot.

You'd think people who were interested enough in boxing to sign up to a boxing forum, might also be interested enough to find out the rules of the sport. Apparently not. Not every rule is cut and dry. If a fighter's feet are on the floor but his back is at a 45 degree angle is he up? The figh...

Were date and venue sorted already for the 50 m offer Wilder made in public? No. It also wasn't a $50m purse offer. It was for the full rights to the fight, which would have excluded Matchroom and Sky. Ah, so none of these cats wanna give a date or a venue. Arent contracts signed for Wilder-Fury 2 ...

Re: Saunders may be an appealing good scalp for Canelo atm

I'm not disputing that timeline, but you missed something out. 14/12/2015 - WBC announce that it will allow Alvarez and Golovkin one interim fight in the spring, based on an agreement to face each other by September 2016. So, Canelo knew he had to face Golovkin in November 2015, and he knew when th...

This. Canelo had 6 months to agree terms to fight Golovkin (Nov 2015, up to the WBC's deadline in late May the following year). After he beat Cotto, he asked for an interim fight, based on an agreement to face Golovkin in September 2016, to allow him time to properly acclimatise to middleweight (wh...

Re: Saunders may be an appealing good scalp for Canelo atm

WBC already did Canelo a favor allowing to "defend" against Khan and keep his belt. Canelo and Oscar knew right after beating Cotto that they need to reach an agreement with GGG. They didn't learn something new after the Khan fight. This. Canelo had 6 months to agree terms to fight Golovk...

Can't see the judge that had it 6 rounds each, but close fight anyway. Great fight! I gave Donaire 2, 3, 8 and 9, but 4 and 7 were probably close enough they could have been scored either way. It's a stretch, but sat in a fixed position for the full 12, it's possible a judge could see Donaire winni...

Kov was tired by then. Punch resistance is always lower when a fighter is tired. He was definitely hurt by it. Yeah, you could see by the way he reacted to the cuffing left just before the 1-2. Thing is its not like the fight was fought at a high tempo either. He fought a much higher tempo against ...

Re: Canelo vs. Kovalev Official Scorecards

I think you could legitimately score it anywhere from 97-93 Kovalev, to 96-94 Canelo, with rounds 2, 4 and 5 being so close.

Having said that, I do have some issue with a couple of the individual round scores on the Moretti and Lederman cards. Round 1 or 9 to Canelo? Really?

Canelo 96-95 Kovalev Rounds 1, 3, 8 and 9 were clear Kov rounds, with 6, 7 and 10 clear for Canelo. The score after 10 depends on what you valued most in rounds 2, 4 and 5. You could reli...
