Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joe Joyce II - Rematch Activated
Joe's only real option was to activate the rematch clause. He's too old to be messing with tune-up fights. I still give him a decent chance, he just needs to get to the later rounds. But, can't see him doing too much different, so he's gonna still get tagged. I'm going with more of the same but it's...

Re: Boxing Forums - Popular?
I started out on the BBC chat boards (2003?) before they cameback as 606. Most of us then went to an excellent forum called BoxingBanter (had an automated Prediction League and large download section). Many forums, including Banter, have gone. I joined a ton and smaller ones like BoxingBB, MyBoxing,...

Cracking 12-round fight. No arguments about the draw. A rematch will be most welcome in Cardiff.

Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Liam Williams | Sky Sports - 11 December 2021
Cracking match-up. Will be an awesome atmosphere in Cardiff. Tough fight to call but I'm backing my countryman. Very interested to see how it pans out. Will Eubank stick to his new mini RJJ style, once the pressure is on? Will his hand speed get him the advantages? Liam can box or brawl and am looki...

I had Golovkin winning the first. 2nd was close but no problem with the Canelo win.
Third fight? I don't want to see it. Golovkin is ancient now.

Great win in Italy by Tony Dixon
Superb win for the 'Welsh terrier' in Italy. You gotta knock them out in Italy, and Tony sure did that. Knocked-out the favourite Francesco Russo, in the first round. Tony hadn't fought in two years, his last appearance was in Italy when unlucky to lose on points, against Maxim Prodan. Have been rin...

Helluva fight. Soro's inactivity is a worry but I'm a big fan. If he's in shape, then I'm picking him to win. He's a different level to Eric Walker.
Nice fight to get by Eddie.

The belts situation is a long-running bad joke. But, credit to any boxer who unifies them all. Canelo is the man in his division and that is all that, really, counts.

Re: This is going to be deeply unpopular...
“Exceptions” to the general rule occurs in all walks of life, otherwise the word itself wouldn’t exist. However, “exceptions” can’t be used to dismiss the existence of the general rule. It’s inaccurate to claim that small heavyweights regularly defeat their much larger counterparts, because it’s hi...

That was some fight! It was hard-fought and intense. Had the cuts to go with the volume of blows. Was such a dramatic final round.
Credit to both men on a fantastic fight.

Re: Oscar Valdez's Manager To Meet With Top Rank, Discuss Big 2018
Fantastic figter to watch. Only 26, so plenty of time in the sport ahead. His last two fights will have given him invaluable experience. The rankings look good though I expect him to have an easier defence first. Scott Quigg seems to be targeting Mares or Valdez. Be a good fight for Valdez and the f...

Re: Duva: Kovalev Still Man to Beat in Light Heavyweight Division
Looking to see what he has left. Rumours of him training himself, ill-discipline and drink have been floating around. Always a fan of his and got to see him live when he destroyed Nathan Cleverly. He seems to have lost the meanness and hunger. It'll be interesting to see if he can recapture his old ...

After the Tyson, Lewis era's I hated the Klitschko rubbish. Poor contender after poor contender. Boredom. I want Wladimir to get KTFO and then ride off into the sunset.

Suppose it's the old case of risk vs reward. Ortiz is one of the best heavyweights around but I don't believe he is the best. I can't see him getting a World title shot this year unless it's back with the WBA circus.

I think he has the potential to become the No.1 in the division, unify and rule for several years. All good, so far, but obviously tougher tests ahead.

Stiverne - he isn't great, but he's tough & has a 'name'. He should, in theory, extend Joshua, but it wouldn't surprise me if Joshua flattened him, as AJ does seem to possess bone crunching power. Agreed mate. Out of the three I'd chose Stiverne. Can understand the logic of a North American opp...

Re: Anyone bothered about khan v algeri
I think Amir Khan wins pretty comfortably. Not a bad opponent though. Not seen much hype for the fight. The main undercard bout, Bryan Vasquez vs Javier Fortuna should be an awesome fight - really well matched pair for the vacant WBA World super featherweight title.
