Re: Chris Eubank Jr. vs. Conor Benn | DAZN PPV - March 2024?
There is an air of desperation from Benn's side, they must be down lot of money with inactivity and getting 'reports' trying to explain his test results, it just looks like he's trying to secure a big pay day with any big name to get rich quick.

Too much at stake not to have one, anything could happen, cut eye stoppage, injury etc

What would’ve been funny is if Benn lost and then this failed test came to light and hearing the excuses and spin from Benn and Hearn

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
I watched a good interview with Dave Coldwell earlier. He made the excellent point that Fury struggled with Ngannou because he could match Fury for reach and more than match him for strength. Just goes to show how much sheer size and/or weight advantages can have in the HW division. Ngannou was the...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
It was said Mike Tyson didn't train for Douglas, he would've as he looked in great shape and you can't be unfit and go 10 rounds unless you have a certain level of fitness. But again I doubt Mike trained his arse off either. There are levels to everything. Yes I read Tyson's book, which was pretty ...

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
I really don’t think he’s lagging behind Joshua at all. I respect you as a poster James, but I have to say this...... Did Joshua just get knocked down and scrape past a 37 year old cage fighter? Tyson Fury didn’t train a day for that. And it’s hugely embarrassing…. but if Joshua didn’t train and wa...

Wasn't there a reason why he had solid cardio?Manchester Hitman wrote: ↑15 Nov 2023, 09:27 Sadly, my money is on Miller by late stoppage or points. If Daniel doesn’t hurt him or bust him up in the early rounds, then Miller will be a nightmare for him. 300lb and solid cardio..
Hope I’m wrong and Daniel smashes him.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk - 17 February 2024
I’m guessing there was some clause in the contract that any kind of injury will postpone the fight. From what FW said he chose to postpone the fight and Fury was happy to stick to the December date.

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
I didn't mean that the Berbick fight was anything other than legit. I was using it as an example of a fighter reacting strangely to being hit hard in the head. Like Liston. Using that as a yardstick then you could say anyone hit on the head and falling over is just reacting strangely. What I'm sayi...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
Berbick's reaction didn't look natural to me. That doesn't mean it wasn't real. You must be the only person on the planet to think this way then. The Liston rematch has been the subject of books, newspaper articles, TV etc and still questioned by people almost 60 years later. I don't recall anyone ...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
Trevor Berbick fell all over the place against Tyson. It was far more theatrical than Liston. Plus he went down long after the punch had been thrown. Was that fake? No because you could see Berbicks legs had gone, he tried to stand straight away and couldn’t. When he was hit he froze and dropped ba...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
You're not seriously comparing the phantom punch with the punch Berbick took from Tyson are you? To me the phantom punch didn't look hard enough to knock out Liston and Liston looked like he was faking it. Doesn't mean it was preplanned, I don't think it was, but imo he threw the fight. Thats what ...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
Except he didn’t look on shaky legs. You can normally see when someone is hurt but Liston just rolled around, it didn’t look a natural reaction to being hit by a concussive punch. The more I watch it the more laughable it looks. Trevor Berbick fell all over the place against Tyson. It was far more ...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
He hit Liston on the jaw with such force that it makes Liston's head move quite a bit. It was the first round, so Liston may have been caught cold. One way of looking at it We'll never know for sure. I mean, if he was wanted to throw the fight, why get back up? That makes no sense to me. He did get...

Re: Was Ali-Liston 2 fixed and was Ali in on it ?
For the Nunn and Curiel, we had camera up close, replays etc. To say Ali hardly put anything on the punch is an assumption. Liston was hit flush, went down and struggled to get back up. If he was faking it, why not just stay down, or get up at 10.1 seconds? He landed a punch for sure but it certain...
