I remember India had some good fighters in 2010. Just watched the reigning champ at 64kg fight some poor sod from Naru. Jonas was his name, from Namibia. He's good and rangey.
I'm going to the finals next Sunday. I'm excited.

Re: Is Hasim Rahman Jr an accomplished boxer? Please say he is
Massive step up for Jake Paul, he has never boxed anyone who has had a boxing match before let alone won one. I would back Rahman all day long in this, except there is no way Rahman has been employed to win this one. Rahman knows the score otherwise he would never have been offered this. I think Ra...

Kelly embraces clash with Williamson for British
Edit : boxrec doesn't like the link. Josh Kelly states a desire to challenge Troy Williamson for the British 154 title. I like this fight. It has fireworks written all over it. Maybe some of the lustre has been taken off due to the Avanasyan reversal, but in my eyes it's a good fight. Ava is just fr...

Re: Liam Smith vs. Hassan Mwakinyo | Sky Sports - 3 September 2022
Egg fought like a moron, got caught, fought like a moron, got caught more,, fought like a moron… then stopped. I’d actually rather see the rematch rather than this. Liam is far better than both at the moment. I expect Liam to comfortably take him apart. Don't know why mwakinyo didn't try and get th...

Re: Daniyar Yeleussinov
I remember him being a bit disapointing (considering the hype), but surely he was still a worthy name with fringe world title potential. https://youtu.be/GzJN_ODnTbU I think he's got a bit of Lara about him. Cautious, southpaw, well skilled. He's quiet and doesn't speak English so could be a hard s...

Re: Robin Reid vs Steve Collins
I have a soft spot for Robin. That Ottke robbery was criminal as it changed the trajectory of his career. A win would have opened up more money fights etc. I know he won the ibo and wbf and went on a run of fighting some unheralded the tough challengers from Africa and South America to try and get a...

Re: Callum Smith vs. Mathieu Bauderlique - 20 August 2022
Bauderlique vacated. Pity. I like this for a ebu title rather than an eliminator. It seems European titles aren't taken that seriously. Avanasyan has defended his a bunch though! Shame the Euro has lost its shine. If it still had value mabey Ava would of fought someone in the top 100 in the last 18...

Re: Worst British Champs of all time?
I tend to like domestic title matches. There is something a bit special about them. Moore and Rhodes was one of my favourite fights. John Odonnell vs Craig Watson was great too.

Re: Worst British Champs of all time?
Ashley theophane. Not a bad fighter by any measure but he really looked down on the domestic titles then lost to Hamilton. He had a few good runs in his career :maybe: I know it's not a domestic fight, but he held his own with a peak Broner, until he didn't. But that was a decent world second tier ...

Re: Who should Joe Joyce fight next ?
I think it was clear he would struggle with getting a big name to sign. He isn't getting a shot soon. Should have kept the ebu belt and just kept ticking over by smashing up some European heavies and make a bit of till.

Re: Who should Joe Joyce fight next ?
I would be happy with Yoka, Bakole or maybe even Kabayel. I think JJ does them all. Yoka would have the interest. Bakole is as game as you like also!
Kabayel was a decent contender but came off the simmer. He can fight a little.

Re: Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall II - Who wins?
Josh is still dynamite. I really felt for Catterall as he boxed out of his skin. Taylor came off bad after but it could have been a bad night. I think Taylor knows this and will be eager to shut critic's up. I think he's not improved under Davison.

Boxing fans don't like perceived arrogance even if it's just confidence or self belief, DeGale got more props when he retired after being a braggart, remember him getting booed on his pro debut He won me over in the end. Depends what Reid showed up. I think Reid was really a Middleweight but he was hitting the weights like it was going out of fashion. He could crack too. I'm on the fence.

Re: Worst British Champs of all time?
The reality is that the worst British champs of all time were still damn good fighters. This. I look at Chris Saunders' record and think fornicating hell, fair play mate. Something to tell his grand children when they grow up. The Leon Williams fight against Norton was sus. Norton always struck me ...
