2009 National Golden Gloves Results/Reports
I know we have a NGG thread, but I thought having any reports posted on the results can be put here. Boy, do I miss the greatest coverage in the history of the gloves form mlive.com last year. . . round by round chats, videos up within a day of finals. . .interviews with athletes. They spoiled me and I can't find any coverage at all.
So, please anyone attending help us out. Bouts started at 6pm. . . .I'll be waiting.

ring one Naim vs J'Leon was the wrost job of fefereing ive ever saw. J'Leon getting two eight count w/o being punched and losing a point w/o a warning. WOW.

You don't lose points when you commit an offence in amateur boxing, the opponent is awarded two. What did he do to receive the warning?

Sounds strange to me...do you feel the decison was fair (apart from the points awarded from the warnings)? The eight counts don´t count for nothing anyway.random wrote:ring one Naim vs J'Leon was the wrost job of fefereing ive ever saw. any input from some one there is great though. Let us know the highlights from tonight. I have a son that boxes , Zimmie, but he's just 12 so he's got a while yet to get to the Tournament of Champions. Lol. I am an asst coach with Alantez's coach/dad and we have about 6-7 boxers.ZMOMMI wrote:DCAmateurBoxing, you are da manMy results are limited from Zed. We will be relying on you for the BEST results. Re: 2009 National Golden Gloves Results/Reports
I'm working on our master listing with todays results. It is 1/3 done. I should have it all done by 2 am EST. About 90 minutes from now. What I have so far can be viewed at http://www.sportssummary.com/boxing/sto ... t_day2.htm
Story will be posted tomorrow, but focusing more on Michigan's fighters. I just dont have time or information on the other fighters. Wish I did. Hope it helps you follow your boxer's progress.
