I've often wondered about the lack of policing on trolling and abuse (not that this board is as guilty as a couple others) that goes on routinely. Some of the slagging matches that pass as discussion on here are unreal.

But I've recently requested to have threads moved, one within the thread itself and one as a pm to a member listed as mod and I've had no feedback.

Is this a lawless town? Do we need a new sherriff?
Any examples would be nice davie. Any quotes you can knock up for the court of Boxrec to judge?
I'm actually not bothered about moderating to be honest, I just wanted a couple threads moving and wondered at a forum like this not having anyone running it.

Ya fornicating dick*

*I can say what I want now, no ones here to judge

I vote Horse! He'd run amok in Current Scene.

I've not had any PM's asking for things to be moderated, (it may well have been sent to another mod) and the best way to get things done is by using the report function.
Just because you've reported it, though, doesn't mean the moderators will feel it needs acting on. It's a bit like a clinch, sometimes we let you punch it out.

Cracking thread! Never change, gents.

By the way, has anyone spent any time in the Australia section? It certainly has a very "different" vibe to the British section, and even the Current Scene.

Hardly anybody posts in it. They don't really have much to talk about, do they?

It's quieted down a bit recently but every thread used to be like walking into a flat-roofed pub. Lots of insults and threats of bans from overzealous mods.

The Crims love their flat roofed pub. I was in Darwin early 90's and one of the boozers had a pish tray at the bottom of the bar. Everyone in there was like an extra from ZZ Topp.

Brawls broke out over nothing. They were not too keen on my either, being a "Pommie cahnt"

Like the wild west up there back then. Loved Australia though. What a great country.

When my ship finally comes in I plan to buy a place in Byron Bay and spend the european winter there. Such a beautiful part of thw world.

Compared to some of the zoo-like experiences I encounter on other forums (not boxing related), I always find it a relief to drop in here.
