Shep - you've just answerd the thread above - why dont you answer this thread??sligobhoy67 wrote:I can see you looking in! I've actually found out the reason why he is listed as a Mexicano - your place of birth is incorrect!
He move to the US as a baby.
Its just embarrassing that not one admin is willing to try and justify the records being kept on here.
All the data I have says he was born in El Paso and his nationality is now listed as USA. If you have evidence he was born in Mexico then I am happy to move him back.sligobhoy67 wrote:Shep - you've just answerd the thread above - why dont you answer this thread??sligobhoy67 wrote:I can see you looking in! I'm not asking you to moving his nationality - I was in the first place asking why he was listed as Mexican when all you information showed the guy had nothing to do with Mexico.JohnShep wrote:All the data I have says he was born in El Paso and his nationality is now listed as USA. If was only my own researching whilst compiling this article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Lazcano - that I found out that he was not born in El Paso but Juárez which is just across the boarder in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

U are correct, but very impatient as usual. These things take time becausesligobhoy67 wrote:I can see you looking in! I've actually found out the reason why he is listed as a Mexicano - your place of birth is incorrect!

they have to be researched by volunteers who donate their free time.
The El Paso birthplace error came from an editor who probably changed it when he
found it in the “Official” ABC Boxing Record Registry, FightTax 2007 RB, p.281.
A profile written by John Whisler San Antonio Express-News Staff Writer clearly
states Lazcano, born in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and was 2 months old when he was
brought just a stones throw over the border to El Paso.

"Impatient as usual" - thats bullshit (as usual!) It was eleven days until someone addressed the issue!Blue wrote:U are correct, but very impatient as usual. My issue initially that he was listed as being born in El Paso it was why he was listed as Mexican when nothing on the profile pointed to that.

you mean I have been correct over and over again!tegenm wrote:Nobody here listens to you, like you would hope, because you have made an ass out of yourself over and over again.
Your personal abuse is charming but if you can show me one time when I have been incorrect then I will stop informing you of incorrect record.

No you are wrong and you have made a yourself look rather foolish yourself in doing so. I simply posed the question as to which nationality he was and provided a source in which Henry himself states that he is Nigerian! You stated "my original point was that you are an ass and gave something that was false, and was not that you claimed Akinwande was Nigeria; though you no doubt was hoping that was the case" - what did I give that was false??tegenm wrote:My original point was that you are an ass and gave something that was false, and was not that you claimed Akinwande was Nigeria; though you no doubt was hoping that was the case.
I did not proffer any assumption or opinion on his nationality - there is a big difference.
Also, you saying I am an ass doesn't make it so. Anyone outside of that administrator cabal (who are obviously under strict orders from above) can see that all I have ever done is attempted to set records straight in a straightforward and rational basis and all I have ever been met with from admins is personal abuse and a refusal to justify the inconsistancy within the records on Boxrec or even to enter into a simple discussion on the nationality issue.
If this is a site which is serious about keeping records and having correct records then surely you would be only too willing to engage in a "grown up" discussion without resorting to abuse.
