You have Hatton to blame for that. SKY did the same when he defended the WBU so many times and marketted it under the auspices of WORLD CLASS boxing. Ricky doesnt give a flying fornicate about his fans or British boxing. His only interested in selling out 4 tickets for a £100.There a family of fornicating ticket touts. The fight is shambolic aswell as the PPV event. He has NO intention of fighting Witter and the guy is a fraud and a sham.I hope Lazcano knocks him the fornicate out.Im sick to the back teeth of Rickys shite arrogance and supposed loyalty to his "fans".He doesnt even know what the word means.

Add to that,

'yeah - I am shit scared of Witter - have you seen how hard he punches? - fuk dat - now THATS not a tickling contest!

'Man of the people? - I am a greedy 'bleep' I tell theee'!

:D
I have just watched a re run of Hagler - Mugabi from 1986. 11 rounds toe to toe and you could count the clinches on one hand.

When Hatton fights I feel like there are more clinches than punches. I got bored watching him fight long ago.

I doubt I will bother watching him again and certainly wont bother with PPV. I just have Setanta now.

Hatton is basicall just a wrestler these days, I wonder if they get a top
amerian ref for this fght ir the usual British Ref.

Micky Vann

Dave Parris - he let Hatton get away with it against KT.

How about Joe Cortez?

I will let you guys watch

'Wrestlemania' Hatton returns!

Well I suppose it's another few million £'s for Rickys pie and Guinness fund for fighting another substandard oppo ...... I heard he's gonna table a bid for Northern Rock!!

Even if he does finally take on Witter at the tale end of his career, the fight will be a shadow of what it should have been, even so it would be great to see Witter finally take him apart

I have been a follower of Ricky from way back but I wont be spending my hard earned to watch this crap. For Ray Hatton to say this is for the fans & then sell it to PPV just shows what contempt they have for us loyal fans. no I'm sorry Ricky that word " Respect" is getting very tarnished

The fans-fighter relationship should be a 2-way street IMO, unfortunately it's not In The Hattons Opinion. Ricky should be taking a leaf out of Haye and Enzo's books if he wants to do somat for his fans

For the Fans should be FREE on Sky ( if there is such a thing!).

A quality opponent.

Thanks for only making people £15.00 - I thought a gift was free?

The GIFT is for you, Hatton!

As of now I will not listen to Hatton Speak

Our Sage Accounting system support woman lives hear RH and sees him around - when I educated her on the REAL DEAL re: Hatton - she was shocked - she thought he was the 2nd best fighter in the world because he was fighting the best fighter in the world.

WITTER WITTER!

Looks like it will never happen - at least I will never listen to another RH interview UNLESS it is post fight explaining how despite being knocked he was NOT ALLOWED to fight ( wrestle) his fight.

No more threads started by me on Hatton.

You can all rest easy!

Why does he say, he only fights for his fans, and his fans are why he's boxing?

If Hatton cared so much about his fans. He'll fight Witter. A fight, his fans and boxing fans want to see. I think Witter said he'll take the peanut offer Hatton gave him. Just to get into the ring with him.

David Haye stayed at cruiserweight even though he wanted to move up. To give the fans what they wanted Haye V Maccarinelli. I can't stand David Haye but he did gain respect from me. While I had respect for Hatton which is slowly fading away.

People wouldn't care as much if boxers didn't run their mouths. EG Audley Harrison saying he'd be British Champion in 10 fights (that’s why BBC signed him up for 10 fights) only to fight bums. Then claimed he'd be the undisputed champion only to get beat by an unfit Danny Williams, Guinn and KO cold by Sprott.

People will slowly turn on Hatton if he keeps saying the fans mean everything to him. Only to not give the fans the fight they want to see.

I think we are stuck with him talking bollocks on tv for the nest 10/20 years.

The guy has no shame at all.

I don't think Mccory was too impressed with the USUAL HATTON TALK last night.

I for one will always turn over or turn the sound down when he speaks now.

Enough is enough, the guy is just taking the piss!

This latest 'gift to the fans' nonsense is utterly disingenuous and leave me wondering if I've been wrong about RH all along.

After being humbled by FM I don't blame him for taking on a preliminary opponent and, as he is obviously nearing the end of his career, I don't even have a problem with him squeezing a few extra shillings by making it a pay per view (if he has admitted as much I would admire his candour). It is a fascinating fight in some respects because we'll find out for certain how much the loss has taken out of him, so it does have genuine marketability.

However, I do not like the way he is using the ticket discount to elevate his image as being all things to all men. His fan-base is nationwide and likely the most prolific of any British boxer by quite a margin.
If he was really that committed to rewarding their loyalty, then he would have found a way of ensuring that this contest was aired either on ITV or BBC.

I hope Ricky wins this fight and goes on to face Witter and Malignaggi, but I also hope that the critisism from his latest move ensures he never repeats it again.

Hatton is just riven by greed and the easoset possible route.

And HOPEFULLY everyone ralises by now that he only fought PBF for the cash and the 10% chance he might get lucky and win.

I think Hatton was 99% sure he would last the distance and that would have been a victory for him.

ITV could have got the fight - but Hatton wants the PPV money.

How times have changed, we moaned about paying for Tyson Vs Bruno.

WE WERE LUCKY BACK THEN.

Now we pay for exhibitions.

I bet this fight gets more buys.

Cortez just wanted him to fight under the rules probably.
Does Ricky honestly think if Cortez would have refereed the bout differently, it wouldv have made the outcome any different? I certainly don't!

Hatton was out-fought, out-boxed & out-classed by Mayweather. Simple as that! Floyd was too good. It's not Mayweather's problem is an opponent loses his temper when facing him. Boxing a hard enough sport as it is, if you spot weaknesses in your opponent in the build-up or during the bout, you take advantage right away!

For a while after the fight, Ricky was talking about a rematch. I cannot see a second bout being any different, other than there will no doubt be a different referee.

Hatton needs to box Witter & he knows it!
